Kept me coming back for more- DMoA
I was skeptical about this anime; having seen Gosick, which I loved, I was unsure if this anime would fit the bill for a mystery/detective/ romance comedy. Needless to say this was a great anime. Hell, I watched all twelve ep's in one sitting it was so interesting. Only negative would be that that they could have stretched this to 22-25 ep's. No regrets though. I urge everyone who likes a well ...

Great series but way too short.
Really good series with an interesting animation style. Only thing I disliked was it being too short and at some points it felt like it was being rushed. But overall this is one of my top 20.. and I've watched a lot of anime..

  • Verdict at Ep7: Funny and creative at first, fails to evolve
This show really caught my attention after the first two episodes. It was funny, creative, and clever. Unfortunately, the show became progressively more juvenile and less clever almost immediately after. Stale jokes and sluggish plot become staples of the series by the half way point. That being said, the art was delightful and the story still seems to have something to give, even if they are slow ...

Beautifully told story, and beautiful art
When I started this series, I was immediately put off by the constant zooms on breasts. In fact, it seemed every 5 minutes there was another breast grope, shirt off, or something of the sort. I'm a straight male but so much of it being "in your face" gets old quick. The only reason I kept going was because I wanted to know more, I wanted to see the story told, and honestly I'm glad I did. Once it ...

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia Has Its Moments
    Dusk Maiden of Amnesia
    (It Has Its Moments)

When I watched the first few episodes of Dusk Maiden of Amnesia I thought it was a little too far into the ecchi-harem-verse for me, and at first, it really is. I don’t generally enjoy things that are so in-your-face-heterosexual-boy-meets-boobies but something kept me from immediately giving up on this one. There are actually two things about Dusk ...

Dusk, sunsets and darkness, a contrast that works.
A fun romp through an odd romance that is more than just fluff though you would never guess at first glance. I have trouble believing that I loved this anime as much as I did, but the contrast of the little teasers of horror and gloom against the girls over cheery charming demeanor is perfect and perfectly executed. The teasers and the strange mood settings and disconnectedness have a reason and a ...

  • An ecchi series with a neat story.
Dusk Maiden is definitely an ecchi series, and the first third to half of the series is mostly focused there. I'm not a huge fan of ecchi, so why did I stay around? I am a fan of mysteries, and I just had to know what the heck was in Yukko's past. Also, the drawing is very crisp and clean, and I love the color pallet.

Luckily, my viewing was eventually rewarded, and the series switched its ...

  • Great series, could have been a bit more dramatic though.
This was a great series to watch, short (12 episodes) but to the point.

I wish they had developed the characters more, everything seemed a bit rushed due to the time they had. The series left me wanting in both a good and bad way. The writers should have put in just a *bit* more drama into Yuuko-San, the main focus. I felt like I should have had more empathy for her than I actually did have. ...
