  • Drama at it's Best!!!
Like its prequel series, Ef - A Tale of Memories, Ef - A Tale of Melodies is not only a romance, but it is also a complex and profound drama. While the series is far darker than its predecessor, it is by no means lesser in terms of artistry, plot, and sheer beauty. Truly, it is one of the most magnificent stories I have ever known, and I am more than happy to re-watch it over and over again.

  • A Very Dark, Satisfying Sequel
This is the sequel to Ef: A Tale of Memories. It focuses on the side characters from the previous season, jumping between Yu and Yuko in the past and Kuze and Mizuki in the present. The main characters from the previous season do appear, but only in certain episodes and are not the main focus in any way. Melodies is just as good as the first season being darker, more emotionally impactful, with ...

  • One of my new favorites.
This as well as the original went so well with each other. This one giving backstory to the characters in the first season, as well as their own stories. Honestly I cried several times during the show. Hands down one of the best I've seen in a while.

  • Emotionally Drained...
Great anime. Each episode was filled with stunning visuals and raw emotion. The last episode had me tearing up, something no other anime that I have ever watched has done before. Recommend to anyone, but make sure to watch the first series, Ef - A Tale of Memories in order to get a full understanding of the story.

Logic and Connection to a Masterpiece
The squeal to Ef - A Tale of Memories is literally right off the bat of the exact same characters. Not many new characters were introduced in this season. I personally think you will need to require a lot of patient and intelligence to connect these episodes together. Around episodes 1 to 9, you will find it hard to make sense and sometimes it'll feel like time is skipping way too much but towards ...

    Emotions Take Flight Here
I thought the prequel, Ef - A Tale of Memories, was good, but this is so much better. My favorite characters get more development, and new characters are given interesting personalities. The music and art are great again while the setting still lacks a little. However, what sets this season apart from the first is its story - its plot. The plot is amazing, which allows the drama and ...

Not as good at the first, but still good.
This series explains a couple of things that was left out the first series. I was happy it was made, but it's not as moving as the first. The backstory on Yuko and Yu was the main reason to watch that, because it was beautiful to see what their history was, but the other stuff was sort of distractions and didn't live up the first season.

  • Just as Great as The 1st Season
Let me start off by saying this was just as great as the 1st season. But please note that if you are not to familiar with the characters you will struggle keeping up with the story because throughout this season there is alot of past and present. But if you understand the storyline you'll realize how beautiful and creative this anime can be. I loved this just as much as the 1st season. THIS IS A ...
