  • Highly recommended for those looking for a moving story.
I'll start off by saying this review is solely for this show. I haven't seen the sequel, Tale of Melodies yet, but this season works as a standalone. I'll do my best not to spoil anything major.
The story revolves around several different couples and cuts between them at varied intervals. Though each has a story arc, the most memorable one is Renji and Chihiro. (Spoiler for episode two ...

  • Five star show, only giving four
This was a five star show. I had to subtract star because the sequel was so bad: ef a tale of melodies. Don't watch the sequel. I watched this show to completion while loving the characters. After watching the sequel, I find them boring and annoying.

  • Amazing Romance Anime
Ef: A tale of memories Season 1
Ef: A tale of melodies Season 2

This anime has its Romance/ Tear jerking to it, but there is more to it. It kept my attention all the way to the very end and i did not want to stop watching it. The story was planned out very nicely and the characters paths were interesting and emotional. The beginning starts of slow but it picks up really quick and you wont able ...

  • This and "a tale of melodies" are absolutely fantastic
It has been a couple years since I watched this anime and the other one, "Ef a Tale of Melodies," but when I saw them on my anime watch list, I couldn't pass it by without writing a review.

This anime, along with the other one in the series, is fantastic to say the least.

It has a very touching story and causes you 99% of the time to break down into tears.

It can be a little confusing to ...

    Love story of multiple sides
A good Series , good animation and good voice actors , a little hard to keep up with as it switches to different sides of the same story , but with different characters and different situations, the ending is about the same for all of them though , i recommend bracing yourself for this story and the other stories that reside in one story , . 4/5 Would Watch Again.

  • I haven't seen this anime in forever!
But I remember it being AH-mazing! The colors. The emotion. The love. Just all of it. It made me sad. It made me happy. It was just wonderful. I really enjoyed it. I might have to watch it again soon, since I haven't seen it in so long.
But seriously people, Watch it. It's really good.

  • Quite the emotional series
This was the first series that I have found while looking into in the romance genre. I had quite the emotional experience while viewing this. If you intend to watch this series, be sure to watch the sequel series as well, Ef - A Tale of Melodies. The sequel answers quite a few questions, and left me with warmth. I hope you can enjoy it as much as I have.

  • Everything right with romance anime+ stunning visuals
First thing first, the absolutely stunning visuals and the OST made this already amazing anime a whole lot better. However, how well executed the romance was, was what put this series in whole another level compared to other romance anime. I liked both story lines, Hiro's because it did everything with love triangles, and Chihiro's because it was incredibly touching and so uncliche. You'll be ...

  • A great anime that is worth watching
Ever since I finshed watching Clannad, I've been on an "odyssey" to find other animes similar to Clannad. I first started with Key's other works such as Air, Kanon (2006), and Angel Beats. With Ef - a tale of memories it brought the same emotions I felt with the other animes. Ef - a tale of memories is about five characters who are seeking something. Wether it's to write a novel while suffering ...
