That mist reminds me of the same type in Vampire Hunter D, only thing that was different was it never fossilized anything just devoured anything if it was caught inside it.

man Leiji was one hopeless romantic :) That place was like the city of Pompey, if you visit or look at th epics you see everyone got fossilized, n you can see them in poses n stuff. tragic
