Not to sound pretentious about a show that's meant to be anything but intellectual, but not everyone is going to get this show. The super quirky humor coupled with deliberately poor animation, and fourth wall breaking improv is enough to throw a whole lot of viewers off. For the very reasons that those people will be turned off, folks who love absurd inoffensive comedy will love it. What's great about this show is that it doesn't try too hard. It's not gross, shocking, offensive, mind numbingly stupid, or overly cute. It's just really fun and funny. This must be what all of those 4 koma anime that have been proliferating as of late have been aspiring too. There are times when some of the jokes just don't translate well to a general audience, or are just not as funny, but it's pretty cool when the characters openly acknowledge this to be the case. This was really fun to watch, and I still come back to it when I need a good laugh. And no, this isn't for little kids, just the super silly at heart.
