The arrival of the Amanto has forced the samurai to throw away their swords. But Shinpachi’s father lived by the way of the sword, never losing his samurai honor. With his dying breath, the father entrusts his two children with the samurai spirit. To protect the dojo left behind by his father, Shinpachi works hard at jobs he’s not used to doing. But to a boy who knows only swordsmanship, the world is not a kind place. When Shinpachi is ridiculed by his manager and laughed at by the Amanto, one man stands up to confront them. Shinpachi sees an honest samurai within the man as he pounds down the manager and wipes out the Amanto for ruining his chocolate parfait. Yes, this man is in fact Gintoki Sakata, also known as “Odd Jobs Gin.” The Last Samurai with naturally wavy hair for a trademark?!

when will this get better? I think the same thing happened for me in Sket Dance...when I watched first few episodes, I got really bored then I didn't have anything else to watch so I went back to sket dance and it's much better...same here?

trust me guys, it seems boring now but its gonna get wayyyy better as the story goes on it gets WAY more funnier and has epic fighting once in a while. Its a must see anime series. It's like family guy with a continuing story

yeah SKET dance was way funnier i was laughing out loud, on this I'm just smiling too, it's funny but not THAT funny. I'm still waiting to see if this show picks up, lol just watching it cause of that cross over on SKET dance

It's okay... I am not really laughing out loud, just small smiles. But I am under the impression that its gets funnier so I am gonna stick with it for a few more eps...

Was recommended to watch this anime from a friend, it's a good thing that he did, this anime is jokes, got a lot of episodes to catch up on :p

I find this anime very funny, well, at least later in the series. My friend, don't, though. But that was because she gave up after only a few episodes.
