It is the day of a festival, but Gintoki and the others head to the temple grounds. Kagura complains that she wants to enjoy the festivities, but Gintoki tells her that they have to take over someone's shift. Ochi, a man dressed up as a fallen samurai with an arrow in his head, appears before them. He manages the haunted house at the festival. Gintoki and the others have come to help him. Ochi tells them about how he was unappreciated by those around him, how he was downsized, how his wife left him, and how his only reason for living is running a haunted house splendidly. Gintoki and the others become concerned for him and try to help, but…
