Gintama has it all! This anime series is based on Gintoki Sakata an odd but charismatic handy-man, who once was a legendary Samurai, and his crew Shinpachi Shimura, Kagura, and, of course, cute Sadaharu. The anime closely follow their stories in the city of Edo who has been invaded by Amantos (aliens). What I love about this anime is that it has many well designed characters and the list keeps ...

  • Watch from a safe distance and in good lighting or you'll end up as an old man living in a cardboard box
This show is absolutely insane. The characters are all very unique and no matter how predictable the plots may be, the actions of the characters are far from predictable. The humor is off the walls. You'll have a hard time making it through this show without, at some point, finding yourself in a fit of hysterical laughter. However, the show has it's more serious moments as well. It can be very ...

    Jo Mama's Stamp of approval
I have phases when it comes to anime. One moment I'm worshipping Allen Walker and the next I'm fantasising about Sinbad from Magi or Gray from Fairytail. BUTTTT when it comes to Gintama it becomes somewhat of a permanent thing. The characters and story just stick with you. They're kind of like the tattoo at the back of your butt you know? You can't see it most of the time but you always know it's ...

My friend told me I should watch this show and so far I am only on episode 52, but I have to say it is the funniest thing I have ever watched! I can't wait for the bloody serious arc that's coming up >:D

  • BEST FREAKING ANIME ALIVE!!!!
ok a ,ot of people complains that gintama does not have a plot line like naruto (stupid) or bleach (too long), but this anime is hilarious and it has its own way. It is interesting to watch because unlike the normal animes, the setting is kind of futuristic and not boring. Not to metion all the freaking hilarious parodies they do!

Once you get past 10 episodes, you'll be hooked
The anime is dull in the first few episodes and really odd. But after about 10 episodes, the oddity will grow on you, and you will come to appreciate the oddity, humour and parodies involved in this anime.
