First few episodes are kind of a turn off to newcomers, but get used to it!
    One of the deepest,
    Brilliantly thought out,
    Emotional jerking,
    Most epic fight scene,
    Funniest humored, Anime.

The characters all have great personalities.
And the humor is really a marvel.
Then the serious arcs are very captivating and Immersive.

I wish I could forget watching this... Just so I can watch it again!
Gintama never failed to bring a smile to my face and had me laughing out loud in public places (much to my embarassent, but with no regrets). This frankly a very well written anime which dares to think outside the box and is not afraid to say what the truth really is. It really was a pleasure watching this and Ive never been one to push a series on someone, but you have to watch this! Hilarious!!

    New favorite show. Gintama
I watched the first 3 episodes once a few years back, and hated it. The anime seemed boring, random and confusing. But gave it a shot again a couple of weeks ago, and powered through the first 15-30 episodes, and the show suddenlt just got better and better for each episode, and surprisingly never stopped getting better even past 200 episodes.

The Affects of the Amanto War(Spoiler: DO NOT READ unless you have seen a significant portion of the anime or read the manga)
Okay so I'm sure that other people have thought this too but Gintoki is extremely messed up, he has some major issues mentally because of his involvement in the Amanto War. The first and most obvious symptom is his tendency to attempt to solve everything alone as well as the fact that until Kagura and "Glasses" showed up he didn't associate with anyone long-term for fear of losing them. However ...

    DONDAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Gintama is one of the big four in anime! (Naruto, One Piece, Bleach and Gintama!) and it should deserve to be number one!

Gintama offers comedy, action, drama and lots and lots of mayonnaise! The start may be a bit confusing but after 5 episodes it will leave you completely hooked and wanting for more! I started watching a month ago and I'm almost done the entire series!

    Watch it, you ...

I have have nothing to say to you.
Seriously. No words I can say will be sufficient enough to explain this masterpiece if you haven't seen it already. But I'll give it a try anyway.

The plot revolves around The Odd Jobs crew, Gintoki, a samurai who is the definition of an honorable man; while at the same time being the definition of what kids shouldn't aspire to be, in a comedic way. Kagura, the cute but surprisingly rude, ...

    Gintama - Silver Soul
Just by taking a quick glance at it, you can notice that Gintama is not like other comedy series. To begin with, it is based on the fact that, during the Edo Period, aliens called Amanto invaded Japan and forced their way into the government. But, since a mixture of the historical, sci-fi and political genres do not make a comedy, the author decided to stir things up by making Gintoki Sakata the ...

The 16 Year Old Boy In Me Love This Show And That's A-OK
I adore Gintama. Why? It's funny. It makes me giggle. It's weird. It's weird in a good way. Sure there is a lot of toilet humor, jokes based on the male anatomy, terrible puns and bad impersonations and downright nonsensical jokes but that just gives it it's charm. You know, the same charm the a crude, tasteless teenage boy might have. Ok, maybe charm isn't a good word, but it has something and ...

Gintama is Like an Evergrowing Family
Gintama is an odd anime, unlike most shows that stick with a small amount of characters, Gintama grows and adapts. Yes there are four main characters, Gintoki, Shinpachi, Kagura, and Sadaharu, but all of the other characters aren't just one time appearances. They become part of the series as if they too mattered and they do matter. There will be episodes that focus on these "side" characters and ...
