Gintama

In the world of anime, there are many original and cliched anime titles out there that you can either spot the commonalities it shares with other anime titles or you can find the anime titles that are one of a kind, and original that spare no expense for its audiences in the areas of action, horror, comedy, and overall craziness and randomness. Gintama has the qualities of an original anime, but it can stand above the rest with its crazy characters, the antics and situations the characters find themselves in, and its wide variety of creatures, monsters, and personalities. You can not go wrong with watching Gintama and enjoying what it brings to both the anime world and its viewers!!! If you keep watching you will learn new things, hear bizarre statements and speeches, and overall just laugh until you pee your pants off!!!

I've seen animes come and go, since I saw my first anime in the early 1990's.. (not counting atroboy) >.>
After awhile I got bored of the usual animes, (anime with too much stereotypical characters, and lame story-telling).
But after finding Gintama, this changed themes in anime on a whiole different level. O.O

I was first weary to watch Gintama... but since watching the first episode, I'm hooked.
At first it gives off this crazy view of another universal look, taking place in a time of a past era... leaves you thinking (what if?)...aliens came to earth, we end up getting technology at a earlier time..and even though trying to live a simple life..there is chaos.
Sounds like a pretty good story, even it's humor is way off the charts. But leaves a form of satifaction after reading the manga, and even watching the end of the episode of this series.

This isn't a normal type of story-telling, but I don't seem to get bored watching Gintama. The music suites the scenes perfectly.. Loved hearing Tommy's op song theme for the starting of the series..
This anime gets even better.. the characters blends into this type of universe.. (not like some other animes that has so many characters, can't follow the story-line)... However with Gintama, your able to follow each character. ~Cause the characters in Gintama doesn't seem out of place~ ^o^

As for the animation.. I admire the work put into this series, and plus it isn't bad on the eyes, cause it does have great detail.
Humor?... For the humor part of it, I'm not a fan of bathroom humor.. like some bathroom scenes in some animes.. but for some reason Gintama can make the joke work in this type of reality.

I rated Gintama a high rate, cause it's not everyday to watch an anime, that you feel you want to see more of..
This series has a certain charm, and it's humor of has (many) types of non-reality that doesn't seem to slack. But when theres a serious moment in the series, it doesn't crush Gintama's worldly atmosphere.. actually it enhances it.

Gintama is a rare series, that we won't see much of in years to come. To me it's a rare find, even when re-watching the episodes, it still makes me laugh..
Glad to watch this anime, it's worth looking into.

I strongly approve Gintama, for these reasons.

Storyline:[/b] Well, Gintama seldom has a continued arc, but when it has, it sure rocks. The humor of the "unique episodes" is very awesome, too!5/5

Music: It has great themes which adds comedy to the show, and when it's action time, or time for gin's life lessons the soundtrack helps with a certain feeling to it. which rocks. 5/5

Characters: Charismatic and very different characters...My favs are MADAO, Gin-san, Zura and Hijikata/Okita combo
Each one have their own great and very different personalities, and each one have their funny and serious moments... 5/5

Animation: Gintama's art isn't like DragonBall and other animes, which starts horrible and improves as time passes...It starts great and even improves as time passes.... The fights are great, as well as the blood shed... a huge amount of it. 5/5

Overall: Gintama is the BEST comedy anime. And when it comes to an arc, it is better than Naruto, Bleach or One Piece or any action anime you might see....And Gintoki's thoughts helped me several times. 5/5

Gintama was a manga exclusively in shonen jump. With a big fanbase it turned to TV. Instantly hit the TV with a sludgehammer then laughed at it. Gintama is a stunning show! It's super funny and it's mostly filler episodes or mini arcs. There really is no direct storyline-but I like it that way. It leaves room for a lot. It pokes fun at other anime's and uses a LOT of references. All-in-all, Give it a shot, It really is a good show.

This show will give anyone laughs, trust me.

I strongly recommend this show to anyone who's looking for a humorous, action-packed, pun-filled, adventurous, historical, sci-fi, samurai anime.
The storyline is pure awesome. Every episode is different, one of a kind, and terribly funny. The arcs are my favorite- a ton of action takes place. In this anime, there are quite a number of references from other Shounen animes, like the famous Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Bo-Bo-Bo, Dragon Ball Z, and many more. The music is perfect. I find the song selection for the openings and endings very well picked. As for all the characters, they're all so unique and memorable. Just amazing! The animation is GREAT. Overall, this is just the best anime you'll ever watch. You must watch it. 'Nuff said. :D

I guarantee you, you're gonna LOVE Gintama!

although hilarious Gintama really has a story behind the story...The odd jobs gang is very funny and the combinations of the different personalities is just excellent for an anime fan to get away from other depressing or serious animes. When it comes to it the odd jobs get a task that will lead them to something very climactic and overwhelming so if you get tired of the fun and want some real kick ass action just wait it WILL come

Gintama, in a nutshell, is about three friends who own an odd-jobs group together. While the plot isn't always there and apparent - it's done very discreetly to the point where you're looking forward to the day they do an episode on backstory, and the like - Gintama does so many things right, and avoids being, or promoting cliche' by poking fun at it. This anime is very hilarious, and at times sad and heart-warming. That's not to say it is for everyone, because it isn't - though everyone should give it a try.

Some may be thrown off by the uncentered plot, and how it isn't always the focus. But, the way Gintama does things works for it, and very well, I might add. Everything about it is almost pure genius and it seems to excel in many ways at what it does.

What does Gintama do that is so special? Well, it does a lot of things. What is Gintama? Well, it's a lot of things. It's hard to sum it up, and it's very difficult to describe the overall experience, since there are so many things shaping it up.

But, one thing I will say, is that Gintama is one of the best animes I have ever seen, and one of the smartest. It will have you rolling on the floor and suddenly your roof from laughing, and will then have you hugging yourself from crying so hard, and perhaps will make you feel pumped when it has its serious fight scenes.

Gintama has it all, and it's doing a steady climb of having even more.
It'll pick you up, draw you in, then throw you away just to reel you back again.
And, if given the chance, you'll love every moment as you suck up its air.

Definitely, give this anime a shot, you'll most likely fall in-love with it.
