    Surprise! Girls with tanks!
I was a little unsure about this anime, but i went ahead and gave it a shot. It was surprisingly interesting! Giving it the fact that theres only 1 episode. The anime might look strange but just give it a shot and see what you think

surprised at how much i liked it
I love how nonchalantly this show unfolds to reveal some really absurd details:

    1) There are no men anywhere (ok, maybe a few villagers).
    2) Only girls practice sensha-do / tankery. Because boys don't like tanks, of course!
    3) The english sub "tankery" itself actually sounds like a legitimate hobby. For example, stamp collecting is "philately", which sounds somewhat like tankery. I could ...

    Watch, Wait and See!
A lot of talent has lined up on this new offering, which bundles the typical school life plotline with a wry commentary on how Japanese schools prepare young women for success in their future lives. Superb HD CGI is used to put sharp edges on the easily recognizable modern schoolgirl character form. Episode one lays out the basic protagonist conflict and introduces the storyline premise of the ...

Makes me want to go play World of Tanks again!
This anime made me want to go play WoT again for sure. The fighting noises even sounded like the game and used a lot of my favorite tanks from it ANYWAYS... a really good underdog story with a great ending. If you play or love the world of Tanks game... this is definitely a must watch

    An action packed series
    I personally enjoy the show.
The preview isn't helpful since it didn't show what the series really is.
The show isn't all that serious and do have some things i don't get like a high school for girls is on a carrier.
The characters for me took couple of episodes to remember. They have some weird characteristics but i enjoy it. The animations are nice, and have a lot of details. Also I find that ...

    Pyeknu's First Review
Just when you thought it was safe to actually watch a slice-of-life anime series again, someone created Girls und Panzer.

And while the premise does leave some things to be desired, this is clearly meant to be an anime series that doesn't take itself seriously. Once you understand that, the story becomes quite enjoyable and downright funny.

If you're looking for proper historical drama, ...

A great 'high school girls mecha' show
The story takes place in an alternate Earth where things are.....different. The differences allow the writers to place high school girls in world war two tanks and battle each other in competitive tank battle-games.

Girls und Panzer hurries along quick to tank battles. There is some interplay of characters but gun battles have occurred in pretty much every episode. The animation of the ...

Utterly fantastic from start to finish.
Girls und Panzer is nothing short of a masterpiece, with meticulously detailed WWII armored vehicles, highly realistic physics and tactics, impeccable pacing, and numerous interesting, well-developed characters, all compressed into a mere 12 episodes. Not one moment of screen time is wasted or misused, every frame either part of the action, or used to subtly hint at someone's character, or the ...
