In 2004, the band was formed by Satoshi, Nii, ShuU and Яyo. If you say girugämesh, people think of the band who is always on a tough schedule tour. Their first Europe tour was held in January 2008. Just after visiting Europe, the band started a national tour named “stupid tour’08” in Japan and the total number of the shows reached 38. The tickets of the final show at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO sold out in a minute. They continued to go on a tour in that summer and of course the ticket of the final show at LIQUIDROOM EBISU was sold out.

In the next tour “CRAZY TOUR 08-09” IN JAPAN started from November 2008, the band visited every single prefecture (47 prefectures in total) in Japan. The final show of the tour was held at the packed SHIBUYA-AX and they gave an excellent performance. This “CRAZY TOUR” continued in the United States and Europe. Over 7,000 fans in 7 countries came to see girugämesh’s performance in Europe.

It may be no exaggeration to say that their CD releases are just for their shows. What they released in 2 years were just albums. In September 2006, their first full album “13's reborn”, in December 2007, the 2nd album “Girugamesh” and in November 2008, the 3rd album “MUSIC” were released. In 2009, the band released a live DVD “CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY” which includes their greatest attractions, “live performance”.
Additionally, they are going to release 3 singles continuously for the first time in 3 years. The first single “ALIVE” topped Japanese Indies Chart. 　The vigorous single also broke into the Japanese Major Chart.

girugämesh mixes many genre of music into their songs and established their own style. Now the band is a world standard and is very popular in many countries
