So what makes Glass Mask special? It's the drama! This series never fails to leave you on the edge of your seat, demanding for more. Maya, the main character of the story, is absolutely relatable and extremely loveable. You can't help but cheer for her along the way. All you fans who have watched Skip Beat need to see this one. Although both stories are based around acting, the plot of Glass Mask is much more intense and dramatic, but similar in other aspects as well. Everything about this show is amazing! And similar to Skip Beat, the romance takes awhile for it to build, but once it's off, IT'S OFF! haha...so take the time to see this show! You definitely won't regret it!

The truth come out...the series is very deep, rooted with themes of betrayal, and passion. I did not think I would enjoy it as much as I have...if you want to see some drama with a quality story line, check out Glass Mask Masumi plays an intricate role but the balance between her passion and dedication to her acting is really put to the test. Its no wonder how they are able to continually create an exciting storyline. I recommend it to anyone...enjoy!

I've watched this entire series several times, and most likely to watch it again some more!
The storylines are intense as you follow Maya throughout her life, aiming to become an actress- aiming to become the Scarlet Angel. The happy, depressing, tearjerker, passionate days filling Maya is just wonderful. Every play, every story will always have you on the edge of your seat!
I highly recommend you to watch this anime! It may get confusing at the end, but you should just accept it and try to see the beauty of it. Just simply amazing!

I thought that this anime was awesome. It's so interesting and kept me wanting to watch more haha!! XD I loved how the storyline kept the watcher waiting for what happened next, and just as well, the characteristics and personalities that were attached to each of the characters made this anime all the more interesting.

I really liked Maya, without her character the story would have crumbled. The story line was well played out. There was lots of Drama and Passion. But, on the other hand I am kind of angry because, it doesn't show us that Maya and Masumi will ever get together after the whole Ying-Yang scene. It really is disappointing because she has found the other half of her soul and we will never know if they will be together. Plus, 11 years is not that bad. Other than that, I loved all 51 episodes!

I could easily connect with the characters and the plot was BEAUTIFUL!

the struggles and hardships of a young girl, Kitajima Maya, finding her passion, acting, and the various encounters she has along the way to fulfill her dream of starring in the legendary play The Scarlet Angel.

the drama and romance of it all was VERY REALISTIC... Maya's passion for acting even made me consider acting! and it showed me to respect and appreciate the acting world a lot more and took me into the lives of actors and show business, I was left thinking about various things along the way, relationships, life, the world, my reason for being etc...

truly a CLASSIC & MASTERPIECE!!!

If you are looking for a fast paced, action packed, adventure this is not the show for you. If you are looking for a very touching drama that will leave you feeling like you just spent your time watching a fascinating story unfold before you than this is for you. I was able to find the movie and can say I enjoyed both, I truely wish they would make a sequel to this series. My only complaint was the tendancy for her to be forced back to a completely new begining with absolutely no clue where she go. I can understand a set back but they ended up making it feel like every time she turned around she would loose those close to her or her opportunities would be stripped from her. With that little detail in mind the overall story line is excellent and I did enjoy the whole under dog theme.

I think this and Beast Player Erin are two of the best drama anime I have seen so far and would suggest them to anyone to watch. I love that both have very strong female main characters that don't depict women as inferior, or dependant, to men. Hope this helps.

This show is a must watch. Especially if you love drama, love, and a fierce rivalry. This shows you the real colours of the acting world, and how you have to fight for what you want. The love story in this show is just as dramatic. The backgrounds of each of the main characters are pretty intense as well. Maya started out with nothing, and along the way she gained and loss. But in the end, she still prevails. This show? It should deff. be on your to watch list. You won't regret it.

When I first started to watch this show I thought it was violent and cruel. But then as it went on I changed my mind a little bit. The colors and the art of the show was very good and I was sad that it came to an end. But you know every good show has to come to a end sometime. There was not that much climax in the show, however if there was any more then there was I would have died from shock. This show will keep you on your seat, never a boring moment. I give this show 4 stars over all, this is a must see for any one who enjoys theater.

This story is amazing! I wish they would have done more with Maya and Mr. Purple Rose's relationship, though. I hate that he just walks away at the end. But other than that this anime was EPIC! I loved every minute!
