  • Summed up in one word
    "Amazing"
Manages to bring hope, love laughter and tears as you grow to love the characters. A must watch for anyone who loves a good romance arc. I would easily rate this as one of most most favourite anime of all time.
If you haven't seen it yet, watch it! For those who have seen it, WATCH IT AGAIN!

  • A wonderful slice of adult life.
A wonderful journey that, unlike many other anime drama's, tackles slightly more mature issues. Does a beautiful job of starting, climaxing, and ending. A rare accomplishment. For those looking for more substance than the usually angst, this is for you.

  • Elegant, Funny, Touching, Interesting Characters
The art is elegant although there is nothing special. Nevertheless, the story and execution are awesome.

Many elements are integrated well in the story. Amnesia, cult marketing, traffic accidents, etc. smoothly move the story forward while serving as interesting features. These events are not unusual but make the story, though set in a common city, unusual. Each character has unique ...

  • Quite the Golden Anime
Golden Time is by the same author as the renowned Toradora! (http://www.crunchyroll.com/toradora) series that aired a few years ago.

Although not related by story, Toradora! and Golden Time are similar in that they both have a fantastic character development that gives you an attachment to the characters that most animes can only dream about giving. The amount of thought ...

  • Not what it appears to be at first. Greatness in every aspect.
I casually saw this on crunchyroll while doing a genre search for "comedy". The premise seemed generic. Nothing really stood out about it. After the opening theme started for the first time, I came extremely close to dropping the anime then and there due to how extremely girly the intro was. But I gave up my dignity to give it a chance, and holy cow, was that a decision and a half. It seems like ...

  • I'll be your conductor on this feels train
Golden time is the definition of a slice of life romance anime. Right from the start we are thrown into the story and learn quickly characters and places. After the first few episodes, the real romance starts to shine through n the show, and the feels begin. You will remember your first love, your first fight (I could go on, but you understand) Plot twists are at the correct points and really ...

  • One Of My Favorite Of All Time
I wasn't expecting this anime to be on my top 5 of all time, but it is. This is a story about many kinds of feel, for better or for worse, everything turned out ok. The main character was instantly relate-able with the environment being realistic. This story takes place just after high school as the main character enters college. Still, highschool plays and important role.

    10/10 will watch ...

  • One of the best Romantic Comedies I've seen.
I find that I'm a sucker for a good romantic comedy and when I saw this, I figured I would watch it and see if it would live up to the ratings. Turns out it did haha. Overall great anime, Very easy to realate to for me and captivating. The soundtrack fits perfectly and the storyline really is very well done. I simply couldn't get enough, and kept watching episode after episode haha. Easily on of ...

  • An unconventional, memorable romance
I wasn't sure what to expect going in to Golden Time, but what I got was one of the most memorable romance stories I've enjoyed in recent years.

The protagonist's main hook of having amnesia is a cliched one, for sure, but the show doesn't overdo it (except, arguably, in the slightly meandering last few episodes) and instead focuses on some interesting, believable interpersonal drama between a ...

  • I hope your heart is not brittle?
The show is concerned with memory: in the literal sense with Tada Banri's amnesia, but also in the ephemeral sense of those fleeting few adolescent years at college. The characters seem aware of this and it weighs upon them. Chinami's camcorder is the physical manifestation of these feelings and concerns of memory. If these things are not documented, then how we will really know ourselves? How ...
