yet another to make me cry
If ever an anime could somehow win an academy award, this would be it!!! Other than that, there is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said by the wonderful reviewers on here. This wonderful, beautiful anime started as a nice semi-serialized show, but by its end, it was an amazing, poignant love story that made me cry several times (I'm a dude that doesn't do that too much, excepting "Dusk ...

My second most favorite anime ever
This is without a doubt my second most favorite anime ever. Great soundtrack, characters, animation, and plot. I recommend this to anyone and I really hope more people watch this anime because it is so underground and I am hoping for a season 2 eventually. This anime is a masterpiece.

    An Overall Average Tale
Somewhat based off of broad historic events (With some inaccuracy in terms of historical dates), Gosick is an anime that takes places in the 1920s, situating in a small place in Europe. Main characters, Victorique, a petite girl with a doll-like appearance and superior intellects and Kujo, an average Japanese exchange student, lead on a tale of mystery, conflict, war and friendship.

    To me, ...

    3-minute gosick review
Basically the purpose of this review is for my own benefit since there are hundreds of reviews on basically every anime. It is meant to be able to be read within 3 minutes, cover the Story, Setting, Art style, Editing, Music, and Voice acting, and not contain any spoilers.

Story: Basically there is a transfer student from Japan to a small country in called Sauville in Eastern Europe, ...

  • Easily one of my favorites
Before watching this anime I was actually on a Sherlock Holmes binge after finishing the final episode of the season of the BBC show. I read a review on Gosick and it said it had the basic features of a holmes series. That was the only reason I started to watch it, not the reason I kept watching it. I enjoyed nearly every aspect of this anime, whether it be the disfunctional friendship of the two ...

  • Favorite Anime of all Time!!!
If you didn't watch it yet, then what the heck are you doing with your life!!! Just kidding, but I fell in love with this series and one of the most heart touching ones out there as of the writing of this review.

I'm not going to make any spoilers for obvious reasons but for now, I'm going to tell about why I like this anime and made it as one of the top must watch anime's of all time. ...

    Stunning. My favorite ever.
This anime is my absolute favorite, and I've watched 50+ different anime titles. A great blend of mystery, comedy, and near the end, romance. One of the great things about this anime was the end. It had a definite end, rather than a half-assed/hoping-for-a-second-season type ending. The finale had me sobbing with emotion. Extremely powerful.

  • Hands-Down. My personal favorite.
If anyone like me enjoys mystery, crime-solving TV shows, Gosick takes that to a whole new level. The Storyline is beyond great that captures each case and intertwines it with Victorique's background/ Point of View. Of course, she is the main character along with Koujo? and they're passion to solve cases while understanding Victorique's family line made a great binge-a-thon to watch.

    A delightful suprise
I was surprised how wonderful the early 1920s worked as a background theme. The character development is top-notch - after a couple episodes you really get hooked on the eccentricities of the protagonists. The artwork, music, sound are all amazing - but it's the story that really sets this series apart. A must watch!

  • Thank you, Gosick was outstanding
I loved most of the anime and the ending made everything amazing, I am so glad they didn't do what most animes do and just kill off someone. Really enjoyed it a lot was very interesting and the two main characters were both pretty amazing, all the things they go through and they really showed a great example of true love. Was amazing
