    3-minute gosick review
Basically the purpose of this review is for my own benefit since there are hundreds of reviews on basically every anime. It is meant to be able to be read within 3 minutes, cover the Story, Setting, Art style, Editing, Music, and Voice acting, and not contain any spoilers.

Story: Basically there is a transfer student from Japan to a small country in called Sauville in Eastern Europe, ...

  • Easily one of my favorites
Before watching this anime I was actually on a Sherlock Holmes binge after finishing the final episode of the season of the BBC show. I read a review on Gosick and it said it had the basic features of a holmes series. That was the only reason I started to watch it, not the reason I kept watching it. I enjoyed nearly every aspect of this anime, whether it be the disfunctional friendship of the two ...

  • Favorite Anime of all Time!!!
If you didn't watch it yet, then what the heck are you doing with your life!!! Just kidding, but I fell in love with this series and one of the most heart touching ones out there as of the writing of this review.

I'm not going to make any spoilers for obvious reasons but for now, I'm going to tell about why I like this anime and made it as one of the top must watch anime's of all time. ...

    Stunning. My favorite ever.
This anime is my absolute favorite, and I've watched 50+ different anime titles. A great blend of mystery, comedy, and near the end, romance. One of the great things about this anime was the end. It had a definite end, rather than a half-assed/hoping-for-a-second-season type ending. The finale had me sobbing with emotion. Extremely powerful.

  • Hands-Down. My personal favorite.
If anyone like me enjoys mystery, crime-solving TV shows, Gosick takes that to a whole new level. The Storyline is beyond great that captures each case and intertwines it with Victorique's background/ Point of View. Of course, she is the main character along with Koujo? and they're passion to solve cases while understanding Victorique's family line made a great binge-a-thon to watch.

    A delightful suprise
I was surprised how wonderful the early 1920s worked as a background theme. The character development is top-notch - after a couple episodes you really get hooked on the eccentricities of the protagonists. The artwork, music, sound are all amazing - but it's the story that really sets this series apart. A must watch!

  • Thank you, Gosick was outstanding
I loved most of the anime and the ending made everything amazing, I am so glad they didn't do what most animes do and just kill off someone. Really enjoyed it a lot was very interesting and the two main characters were both pretty amazing, all the things they go through and they really showed a great example of true love. Was amazing

    Gosick/Gothic it's a good anime but...
I will start off by saying I love this anime for what it is. Its a detective, mystery, drama, romance, and historical all at the same time. I like the plot and all its gruesome detail they put into it. The character background and development mixed with stories will startle some, but ultimately make you look at the world. Everything in this anime happens in real life. From crime of passion, ...

Third Son of an Imperial Soldier
Gosick_CoverWhat do you get if you take the 1920s, animate them, and then add some nice Japanese twists to world history? Gosick answers this and many more questions. It is a rare and wonderful combination of character driven storytelling, mystery, and alternate history...

The show takes place in a fictional country in Europe, in a town that is deeply superstitious. Kujo, a transfer student ...

  • More than Mystery here
I enjoyed the show throughout, from the early mystery of the week to the darker plot at the end, part of which had me tearing, then crying like a little girl several times.
Some say the beginning is the best, others say the end it the best. I like both, VERY much. The transition was dealt with rather well in my opinion and becomes a tragedy war romance story very well, if somewhat throwing the ...
