Third Son of an Imperial Soldier
Gosick_CoverWhat do you get if you take the 1920s, animate them, and then add some nice Japanese twists to world history? Gosick answers this and many more questions. It is a rare and wonderful combination of character driven storytelling, mystery, and alternate history...

The show takes place in a fictional country in Europe, in a town that is deeply superstitious. Kujo, a transfer student ...

  • More than Mystery here
I enjoyed the show throughout, from the early mystery of the week to the darker plot at the end, part of which had me tearing, then crying like a little girl several times.
Some say the beginning is the best, others say the end it the best. I like both, VERY much. The transition was dealt with rather well in my opinion and becomes a tragedy war romance story very well, if somewhat throwing the ...

  • An amazing medley of mystery, comedy, tragedy, and so much more!
I really cannot say anything about this series that has not already been said. It was an excellent series. Victorique was an incredible lead character. She faintly reminds me of Taiga from Toradora, albeit more refined and European. The entire series was a thrilling ride, and I was never bored or uninterested. It combined tragedy, mystery, comedy, drama, and romance naturally. Nothing seemed ...

    Well worth the watch.
If you take Taiga from Toradora, give her Sherlock Holmesian deductive capabilities and plop her in a made up country in 1924 you get Victorique. And it works wonderfully.

The mysteries are well written, the characters are likable, and the animation is freaking gorgeous. (bones, so duh.)

To be honest, I got a little burned out on this show when the love-triangle-of-sorts peaked in the middle ...

  • Well worth my time to watch!!
I absolutely loved this anime. It has a beautiful and deep story with plenty of suspense and emotion to keep you involved. I'll admit I got confused with some of the anecdotes and stories, but it was nothing that detracted from my immense enjoyment of the show. Definitely recommend this to anyone!!

    Deff should watch this beech
This is a great anime. It had me guessing around but it was fun. Some people thinks that they rushed the ending but I thought it was perfect the way it ended. I don't like the ones that drag or the ones that super rush. This one in my opinion is a good sit back and relax watch type anime. 8/10 easily.

    Glad I stumbled here
Great anime, kind of reminds me of a "Sherlock" story. I really wish there were more seasons.

    Anime Review of Gosick
Gosick an mystery and shounen show that takes place in 1924. The main characters are Kazuya Kujo and Victorique. When watching this show I felt like Victorique carried the show and making me kind of sad of the lack of other character development. I really like Victorique in the show, but she had to much weight in carrying the show. Music is decent nothing really special that stands out to me. It ...
