If nothing else, I can vouch for the art

An exciting beginning, and beautiful art. Abe Miyuki is a truly talented mangaka, whose style is elaborate, slightly old fashion, and breathtaking, traits that I feared would be lost in this anime adaption, but seem to have been kept nicely. 5 years ago, Shino (main character), saved himself and Sosuke (blue-haired guy) from death, so they wouldn't leave Hameji (not pictured) alone, by allowing ...

An exciting beginning, and beautiful art. Abe Miyuki is a truly talented mangaka, whose style is elaborate, slightly old fashion, and breathtaking, traits that I feared would be lost in this anime adaption, but seem to have been kept nicely. 5 years ago, Shino (main character), saved himself and Sosuke (blue-haired guy) from death, so they wouldn't leave Hameji (not pictured) alone, by allowing the demon-sword Murasame to be housed within his body. As a result, he has not aged physically(and debatably mentally) since the incident.

The episodes definitely leave you with a feeling of anticipation/curiousity as to what will happen next - they aren't nicely contained within themselves, nor would I recommend you watch only one episode (unlike, say, Hetalia).

Another interesting thing to note is that Hakkenden is currently being published in a BL magazine, and was previously published in the same magazine as Silver Diamond (a great shonen-ai manga).

Really good anime series

I wasn't sure about it when i saw the preview but man is it good. I'm hooked into it. It's a great way to relax. I personally feel like it's also describing us in a way. I say that you haven't seen it, watch it.

It isn't my favorite, but I enjoyed it.

Despite the choppy, and fast ending of this season, I was rather content with the plot and the characters. But sometimes it can be a bit cliched. Which I suppose isn't all that bad, but it gets rather annoying. The scary parts were intense, though, in my opinion.

And some severely deny this, the whole "yaoi ...

And some severely deny this, the whole "yaoi fan service," but come on. All though there is really no love relationship between Shino and the other guys, you have to admit the writers wasn't just intending Sosuke to just be pulling the "big brother act" on Shino at times. xD
Anyway, my expectations are pretty high for the next season! I'm hoping to get some answers from their past - I know we all know a lot about it still, but it's rather vague.

Good show for its genre type. Excited for Season 2!

This style or genre of this show is not something that I really watch on a regular basis, but if something has a well written and involved story line I will give it a chance and this was one of those instances. I was very pleased as this anime has all the components of Japanese legendary spirits that is used in a unique way: Making it selves enter humans that were on the verge of death but with a strong will to survive and purpose. Military and the Western religion also comes into play smoothly as intrigue builds instead of convoluting the plot and that, alone is quite a feat. Each chapter gives you a ...

Military and the Western religion also comes into play smoothly as intrigue builds instead of convoluting the plot and that, alone is quite a feat. Each chapter gives you a clearer picture, but creates more questions, so the watcher becomes more involved as do all great anime. It's unfortunate that it stops at the mid way with an announcement of the new season sometime in 2013. That alone makes it a hard sell, knowing it stops with a notice of a new season. I believe it's well on it's way to a 5 star rating if it begins the next season for a conclusion.

Why do they have to end it now... I have to wait about 6 weeks until it begins again and the staar test is coming up in 2 weeks... what will i do now once i finish studying and my homework...I'll wait

Eight Guardians East

The eight peoples are the chosen ones to be a guardians that save the world of sorrow. This show is kind of interesting to me. Deep down there own hearts are painful and darkness by proposed by a demon. I really want to know the ending is going to be like.

I enjoyed the show very much and can't wait for season 2. ( Summer 2013 )
A bit confusing at first, but got the hang of it later on.
I might cosplay Shino Inuzuka the normal version (18 year old) haha jk jk.

Great anime, if you dont mind a bit of gayness

To be honest this is a great show where it takes a bit of history with and the pass that no one remembers. Also since i found out that Abe Miyuki writes this i was seriously thinking that it would be yaoi (boy x boy), but when i found out it wasn't i was at least great-full on how there was a bit of it in it.

Knowing that the main character was supposed to be dead, now still alive because of Masursame " the legendary/forbidden sword " so he could keep living with his dear family of friends, was a great was to start of on my opinion since you don't always see the main character die in the first episode, and i thought that was also kind of heart warming thing.
