    Growing Up Can Be Hard
With the series nearly over I feel like it's time to review one of the better slice of life anime series for 2011 thus far. Hanasaku Iroha is a sweet done to earth, coming of age series, being animated from the small company P.A Works. This series is being done for P.A.'s year anniversary of being in the industry, although they are not big player in series like J.C.Staff or Studio Deen they mainly ...

    Official Lakewatch Review
This last year I've been watching more and more anime. The reason for this is partially because Crunchyroll.com has been acquiring them as they come out, and I've noticed a trend in the quality of the animes. It's going up.

I mention this because Hanasaku Iroha seems to fit this bill as well. Its yoru standard girl is uprooted from her family to live with an elder relative/elder relative's ...

    A Breath of fresh air
Lately within the last 3 seasons, there has been a mass of horrible harem anime and then there are those that lose my interest all together. This has a story which takes away from the typical special powers and giant robots and desperate men fighting for kickass women's attention and brings back a concept called "Character Development". Within these two eps I've watched the main chararacter, ...

Don't Forget to Fest It Up
Hanasaku Iroha was a series that had piqued my interested from the first PV. What had managed to steal my attention was the animation quality and that is what had managed to be set in memory so that I wouldn't forget about it. Outside of the PV that were shown before the first episode airing, I didn't have much a clue on how the series would play out. The beginning felt a little weak compared ...

Hanasaku Iroha - Anime Is Changing for the better?
Anime these days, to the masses in Japan is about how far you can undress an underage girl without it becoming illegal. It's about magical, wondrous girls with 'cute' powers fighting evil. In skimpy clothes, too.

Usually fuelled by a lackluster budget and sub-par VA's. Anime in recent years has taken a turn for the worst, and in turn, lost many of its western audience.

    (Albeit, Most Western ...

    Cuteness personified
This was such a cute and adorable anime. The characters were well-defined and didn't annoy at all. The personal conflicts were believable, and several of the episodes had me in tears, both from laughter or sorrow. The storyline was well devised, and cleanly ended (though it would be fun to see more). Such a great watch!

    More shows like this please!
This is one of those roller coaster of emotion type stories. I loved the characters, not one throwaway. The plot is simple, which means this is more of a relationship based show. I cried a lot...a lot, but because the writing is beautiful, not depressing (well, maybe a little depressing at times). Time well spent, I'd say.

What I thought about this anime.
This anime is a heart warming slice of life. I think the producers did a awesome job. This anime has plenty of romance and drama plus a great storyline. I really enjoyed this anime and I recommend this anime to anyone that enjoys romance and drama.
    Enjoy

    My Gateway Anime into Crunchyroll
Hanasaku Iroha is one of the best slice-of-life anime I've ever seen. The quality of the animation is top-notched. Music is very fitting. The pacing is solid. There's no one episode that I've felt is weak. Every one make me want to watch more.

Ohana fits the standard genki archetype who drives the story, but in a refreshingly original way. There are fanservice elements scattered here and there ...
