  • Trying to bloom, isn't easy.
Growing up, and living your own life isn't something that will be easy for everyone. In the case of Ohana, it's a very difficult road that takes her for a spin. Ohana is a 16 year old girl who left her Mother's house to live and work at her Grandmother's Ryokan. A Japanese style inn. During her stay, you go along with Ohana on an adventure full of life lessons, hardships, romance, family ...

  • Amazing! I love this anime!
This has got to be one of my favorites! I had cried so much at the last episode! I really hope there is a season 2! I heard that there might be a movie and season 2?! If that's true then I can't wait for this anime to be back! <3

  • A very touching series.
This was a wonderfully touching series. You get pulled in from the start and will find yourself getting attached to all the characters and their different personality's. It's full of every emotion, fun and has some great humor. I was very sad when it ended. If you are thinking about watching it, go for it, you will be glad you did!

  • Awesome Anime Series
Great anime series. It's one of those anime where right after you get done watching it you question your life and what your going to watch next. Love this anime, great story and characters. I wish their was a release of the movie in the us or on C.R. but still awesome 5 out of 5.

  • A Heart Warming Experience, One You Should Not Miss!
This anime is full of highs & lows. You'll find yourself laughing, crying uncontrollably, urging the characters on and in general just getting into the show.

Ohana who is not sure of herself finds what she is missing in life and in doing so, realizes what she wishes to become for the rest of her life. Her enthusiasm touches everyone at the Kissuoso both family & friends alike, charging the ...

  • The character development was "top notch"
This anime might just have the most interesting characters I've ever seen. A Very well written and fun anime.

But it had it's flaws. Like how the main protagonist "Ohana Matsumae" accepts her situations way to lightly. You will get what I mean after the second episode. But other than that I've got no complains.

Watch it, you won't regret it.

  • A bumpy road with a lot of love!
This is one of those shows where every character ends up a little better in the end. There are times where you may dislike a character or two and in the end you end up loving them all. It is cute with a little bit of romance and a lot of drama and it all pays off in my opinion. The only drawback is that it ends! It all ends! What the heck? I want more! I want to see the rest of Ohana's life with ...

  • Beautiful and deep anime
Hanasaku Iroha I found was a calm anime that I really enjoyed. During the anime, they really focus on the characters and what makes them who they are. Not to mention, the characters themselves contribute greatly to the story and their personalities are interesting as well as enjoyable.
I laughed a lot in this anime too and it doesn't focus too much on one genre but more like a balance of many. ...

  • Breathtaking, Simply Stunning!
The animation is so well refined, I found myself stopping mid-scene to note details that I just didn't want to miss! The plot and script are both elegant and engaging! Flowering prose dance amidst a stream of vibrant youthful emotion, as the characters sweep you away from Tokyo to somewhere quaint amongst the countryside that seems caught between the old and modern world. This is one I am highly ...

  • A Great Piece for a perspective on how Inns work
A part of me really wants to give this a full five stars, but there were a few things that made me almost put down and let it collect dust.

The first couple of episodes are rough, and make it hard to get into. Ohana in the first few episodes really feels like the snob, but over all interesting character. I originally thought the series was going to develop into her becoming a novelist by the ...
