A big change to a small story.
Expected a story related to the title, got something much, much darker. Very similar to CORALINE in many ways. The boy got annoying with his 'must protect family, I hate everyone, stuck-up' attitude. The back story for the girls was completely unexpected!!! That changed the tone of the movie a bit for me.
In all, nothing great. Be prepared for their back story though.....

  • It's sweet, it's creepy, it's mysterious!
From the start of the movie to the finish it's just one big mistery slowly unraveling. I think this movie is wonderful! I have no complaints about what I just watched.
I mean you have no idea what the man, the main character, is getting himself into when he gets into his accident and ends up in this fantasy land. At first everything is so sweet, it's creepy. As you go on you begin to uncover ...

Warning: May lead to adopting children with super-powers!!!
I felt that this was one of the most interesting takes on a Grim Brother's Fairytale...ever. Unlike some of the other reviewers I would not clasify this movie as a horror movie, but rather a dark fantasy. The movie kept you on your toes the entire time and I felt it accuratly portrayed what would happen in a world powered by the imagination of neglected/abused children. The children have, with few ...

    One of My Favorites!
I've watched this movie a few times with friends in the last few years and still love it. I'm not a huge horror fan, but I love the creepy and dark fairy tale aspects too it. It's an interesting flip on the hansel and gretal story where it's the children you have to worry about. Their home always reminds me of the "other-home" in the Coraline movie in that it's so sweet and perfect on the outside ...

Not scary but kind of creepy
This was horror light. It was creepy, but not necessarily scary like a made for tv horror movie. It's a good concept though. The story of Hansel & Gretel that we know has been flipped on it's side. After a car accident Eun-soo meets a girl that leads him to her home deep in the woods. She shares her home with her older brother, younger sister and extremely nervous parents. Eun-soo tries ...
