I felt that this was one of the most interesting takes on a Grim Brother's Fairytale...ever. Unlike some of the other reviewers I would not clasify this movie as a horror movie, but rather a dark fantasy. The movie kept you on your toes the entire time and I felt it accuratly portrayed what would happen in a world powered by the imagination of neglected/abused children. The children have, with few exceptions, only been used by adults leaving them scared emotionally and forcing them to act out in an effort to both keep the adults at a distance out of a fear of being hurt as well as to get noticed by the adults in an attempt to recieve the one thing they have always desired, and the reason for their imaginary world, which is to be loved/accepted. The story is not overly complex and almost everyone can relate to the children on some level, we have all been regected and felt the need for love and acceptance at some point in our lives. I also like the fact that the movie did not rely too heavily on CG, which could have easily been done. GREAT FILM!!!
