Though the majority of the show is taken as one episode per situation, as the series progresses towards the end, it drifts off into multiple episodes... leading up to the final few episodes and the crashing finale.
If you've ever watched Vampire Princess Miyu OAVs or TV, you'll find yourself familiar with the dark theme this show covers.
Love, life, jealousy, greed, envy, fear, death... This show visualizes humanity at its worst and human nature's evil/selfish side. Several episodes left me upset at seeing how selfish people are and how some people 'died' for no reason other than things you experience in every day life.
The scariest part of this show, and shown towards the end, is that anyone can be a target. All one has to do is hate you enough to summon Hellgirl and off you go.
The end itself left me a little unfinished but knowing there is a 3rd season to watch, it gives me hope that it will help fill in and find closure to the events at the end of Two Mirrors.
