This is an amazing story of a young boy who acquires the power and a great friend to protect the planet. The creative genius of Stan Lee and the company that brought you Eureka Seven and Xam'd has created a true anime classic-to-be. This show has cool battles, great music, a good story, and unforgettable characters. If you like all of these descriptions then this is the anime that YOU MUST WATCH!!!

When I first started Heroman, Joey was a little annoying with the "Heroman, Attack!" but of course as the series goes on I find myself saying this with him as he fights in my head. The characters, as with any Bones anime, are easy to relate to. The emotions can be felt by all the characters no matter if they are just bystanders, or the miners in the coffee house. I expected nothing less from Bones and cannot wait to see if Heroman continues as the ending suggests. Great work Bones, loved this one.

This anime is spiderman like. Joey fights aliens and mad scientists. Stan Lee did a good job collaborating. The fighting scenes are good. Besides fighting aliens and mad scientists, he lives a complicated personal life like Peter Parker. He meets a scientist which changes his life.

Starts off a bit slow, but I found myself really getting into by the end.
If I wasn't a fan of Anime made by Bones, I probably wouldn't have finished it, but I'm glad I did.
By the end it was mostly the characters that kept me hanging, more than the storyline.

If you are watching the first half and you are wondering when the pain will stop, well it did for me.
I was watching this and I could not find myself to enjoy it at all. I'm glad I set it down and let the episodes build up because I do not think I would have liked this at all if I could not watch it in bulk.
But Joey did deliver for me in the end. He mans up during the anime and as far trying to be a hero goes I think it works.

You we all know the superheros of America. Superman, batman, Ironman, the incredible hulk, but now we are introduced to "HeroMan". If you know and love Stan Lee, creator of Iron man, The Fantastic Four, and The Incredible Hulk, you will love his next creation of Heroman. Heroman was once a toy robot but thanks to a storm caused by aliens, Heroman is struck by lightning and becomes the new hero of America. Joey Jones and Heroman stand together as they battle aliens, a mad scientist, and a enemy only they can stand to defeat. Heroman is an anime all superhero fans should watch as well as fans of pure action and sci-fi.

Honestly, I think the only reason why I finish the anime is because I was hoping the storyline would have expanded more from the original idea. And even though, they went back to original story arc, it ended so crappy I couldn't enjoy it. I believe it has potential. It was originally created by Stan Lee I believe (who makes a cameo all over the anime), it had Aliens, a silent but strong main character and yet it still found a way to still suck. Like it literally had like 5 story arc where everyone span for 3 episodes. They introduce this "Red angry mode" for Heroman but never explain it or bring it back. Well, take that back, they sort of bringing it back and let Joey do something because issue "commands" actually fight (and show he is pretty powerful) and then take it away because of some stupid reason. Then he goes back to his useless self once more. The idea it is in USA is nice and they do capture American lifestyles pretty well but there are a lot of useless characters and a lot of annoying females characters who only hinder the Joey from doing what he needs to do. No one does anything besides Heroman and personally I believe Heroman doesn't even need Joey but the fact that they drag another 4 more character who just get in the way is annoying. I recommend watching it because the drawing is good and the fighting is ok. Otherwise, skipping this isn't a bad idea.

Heroman speaks to that little kid that we all were at one time who daydreamed of being a superhero. This anime is just a joy to watch. While the story and plot may be very campy, it is handled rather well by it's cast of likable characters. Even some charm can be found in the eccentric villain Dr Minami.
Some people may wonder why the title character Heroman seems to get so little actual characterization, but the truth of it all is the star of the show is really Joey. One might hypothesize that the character of Heroman is merely the extension of Joey's own will to be a hero. Something the character, being a small shy boy, had suppressed till the faithful night "Heroman" came to be.
The feeling of the show has a blend of both Japanese manga and Western comics, which may not be too surprising given the show was co created by Stan Lee of Marvel fame, who's likeness makes several cameos throughout the show, almost to the point of being an actual cast character.
The animation is topnotch, as well as the musical score. It all does a very good job to make Heroman a show that is very enjoyable to watch. I'd highly recommend this to any anime fan who is still a kid at heart.
