I can change my mind about this as this is an interesting story, so, for the series' sake I hope it has more than the traditional 26 episodes.
Firstly, very few writers/animators can do reverse harem correctly and this show is no exception to that pattern.

Firstly, very few writers/animators can do reverse harem correctly and this show is no exception to that pattern.
Reverse Harems are based on games as we all know, in which the player chooses her love interest, unfortunately, when it comes to animes they chose one for you and more often than not its one of the most cliched/boring characters out there. *Hint* Its the most tsundere character.
There in lies the major problem of this show so far. The characters. They are all cookie cutter love interests with cookie cutter personalities. You have the innocent young boy, the energetic kid, and two tsunderes, one slightly more tsundere than the other, and finally the wise calm guy that probably has an interesting story/character than the typical angsty boy but the animators chose not to highlight him.
The female lead. I've seen better and I've seen worse. There isn't anything memorable about her and honestly I wouldn't mind if she wasn't the focus of the story. We wouldn't miss a thing. I could go on and on how she's an affront to women who truly have minds of their own, but I can't blame her for the writing. You have five guys following you around in rural Japan of course the girl's gonna have no say in anything whatsoever. I don't anticipate her getting better.
One thing I do think is working so far, believe it or not, is the lack of romance. I can stomach that than having her suddenly end up with the most obvious, most uninteresting, most cliched, most angsty boy who'd seemed like he'd rather cry and punch walls on a daily basis than ever be interested in a girl.
Directors. You have five guys. Five guys is not that much to develop while moving the plot along. Other reverse harems out there have had more guys and managed to make them all different and moderately personable. When they do develop any of the male leads (which is very limited in development might I say) its the same three guys, while the other two are pushed back into the background. Who knows, those guys maybe real treats, if the directors gave them dialogue or even a scene by themselves so we can get some insight into who they are.
Character designs are okay. Maybe it's the uniforms, but four of the five main leads seem to blend too much together. I get the white-haired guy and the red haired guy mixed up, because they are so much alike in height and personality. The two smaller boys I get mixed up because of similar hair color and style, but their personalities are different enough.
The only one who sticks out is their "leader". (Is he really a leader? He doesn't do much leading) His design is visually different: long hair, glasses, robes, so it would seem he would have some sort important role than the uniformed boys, but alas the most visually interesting of the five gets no character development.
The bad guys are the best thing I've seen of this show. Their designs are all different and interesting, each has dynamic and interesting characteristics. I don't care much for their evil loli leader, but the side-kicks themselves are interesting enough. But its not enough to save this show.
Is this show bad? It's not a "bad" show. The action is there, so if you all just like watching pretty boys pull off a Jason Statham movie you should have no problem with this.
But for the genre, there are waaaay better shows to watch than this. The best one to be seen on this site is Neo Angelique Abyss, because they handled the characters well and the ending well. La Cordo D'Oro is interesting plot wise but falls into the same trap of cliches and that the girl ends up with the obvious uninteresting character.
So, in short, this show is nothing new, nothing ground breaking, and overall, despite good action scenes and good animation, just falls flat. It had potential from the start, but with slow development with the series potentially halfway over, I don't see this show redeeming itself.
