What you see is not what you get[Which isn't a bad thing]
What you're looking at is a story filled with faeries and cheery village people. What I see is a depressing village filled with desperate humans in the outskirts of a ruined world. What you see is not what you get, but don't feel bad. This series will most likely have you wanting for more.

The series is very unusual among this summer's anime titles. I see this title as somewhat of a gag series, ...

An Interesting Combination of Cuteness and Dark Comedy:
    Review Summary:
Beneath the very cute and bubbly surface lies a deeply dysfunctional world with many flawed characters. This is almost always makes for an interesting anime and Jinrui Wa Shimasta is no exception.
    Body of Review:
On the surface, the World of Jinrui wa Shimasta appears to be set in a Disney style rural town painted in extremely warm colors. Likewise, the heroine ...

Weird? Perhaps, but it's so much more!
From the first episode alone there has spawned youtube videos with thousands of views and from that video people think, "this is so weird, I’m not going to watch that". Or the exact opposite, they only watch it because it's weird. Unfortunately they've missed out on a chance to watch an amazing anime. Humanity Has Declined is much more than weird, it's dark, funny, witty, clever, creative, and ...

    Little Things That Say Desu~
WARNING! You will get addicted to the anime's opening and closing music. The art involved in the closing songs sequence is EXTREMELY artistic and very deep with morals/history if you read into it enough.

The anime itself is a mixture of cute, hilariousness and dark, quick jabs. The main characters uncaring view on the world and the actions taken by the fairies is refreshing ...

Shows that are good, are UNIQUE
and this show is no exception.

The dialogue is great, the animation fits everything together so well and the art...well I wouldn't have it any other way. The style is perfect.

This show also gives you the feeling that there's something more. I really read into the subtitles and try to figure out the meaning and message (it's like i'm in college again studying papers in english class =p ). ...

    Post Singularity Humanity
A frighteningly accurate portrayal of society after the singularity... NOT

Yes, it's post "apocalypse" but we never find out what caused humanity's downfall because, it just doesn't really matter.

The Fairies are marvelously played -- completely alien with their own indecipherable logic. There are a many hysterical and horrific gags in this anime that will keep you entertained, like the ...

Don't judge a book (or show) by its cover.
The name of this show could very well have been "How Humanity is Declining." For those of you trying to to make literal sense of the show, just stop. You are doing yourself an injustice. Everyone and everything in this show is an allegory on modern society. Everything from inept and corrupt governments to highly unethical business practices (Who cares what it's made of. You'll eat it anyway, ...

    Based on the first episode
So, yes, this anime only has one episode so far. But it makes a heck of an impression just in the first episode. The show is probably going to end up being the strangest anime this season, and possibly even the funniest. The fairies are adorable, but posses an indifference to humanity that is hilarious, as evidenced by their view of human starvation as a new fad. There are also several random ...
