    Based on the first episode
So, yes, this anime only has one episode so far. But it makes a heck of an impression just in the first episode. The show is probably going to end up being the strangest anime this season, and possibly even the funniest. The fairies are adorable, but posses an indifference to humanity that is hilarious, as evidenced by their view of human starvation as a new fad. There are also several random ...

What you see is not what you get[Which isn't a bad thing]
What you're looking at is a story filled with faeries and cheery village people. What I see is a depressing village filled with desperate humans in the outskirts of a ruined world. What you see is not what you get, but don't feel bad. This series will most likely have you wanting for more.

The series is very unusual among this summer's anime titles. I see this title as somewhat of a gag series, ...

  • Very excited to see where this is going!
To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what the target audience of this anime is supposed to be. The art style seems to be for children... at first... but the end of the first episode reveals a very dark sense of humor. It's bizarre and funny, and I can safely say that I have no idea what they are going to do next.

    Japan's Version of Dystopia
I have only seen the first episode, and judging from what I saw, this is Japan trying out the dystopian genre. (end of the world genre). It's not THE Hunger Games; it doesn't have romance or anything of that sort (yet) But it's strange...I think it's Japan putting cute animation and voices to very grim situations. Throughout the show the main girl says things that are really... grim and twisted? ...

    messed up stuff .
I guess this was one of those really weird ideas some people come up with from time to time. For some reason some of those ideas get made into anime, don't ask me why. Strange, I wish I could just describe this work with that word. It was...well, disturbing; I creeped me out. Just saying.

Don't judge a book (or show) by its cover.
The name of this show could very well have been "How Humanity is Declining." For those of you trying to to make literal sense of the show, just stop. You are doing yourself an injustice. Everyone and everything in this show is an allegory on modern society. Everything from inept and corrupt governments to highly unethical business practices (Who cares what it's made of. You'll eat it anyway, ...

A Mash of Genres That Needs to be Seen
Right now, people are uncertain as to how to define this show. Is it a comedy? A satire? A horror show? I say, why not let it be all of those!

Humanity Has Declined is an amazing collision of witty writing, average but colorful animation, solid voice acting and an overall tone that sometimes crosses into the horror territory. After all, what isn't terrifying about the thought of the ...

An Interesting Combination of Cuteness and Dark Comedy:
    Review Summary:
Beneath the very cute and bubbly surface lies a deeply dysfunctional world with many flawed characters. This is almost always makes for an interesting anime and Jinrui Wa Shimasta is no exception.
    Body of Review:
On the surface, the World of Jinrui wa Shimasta appears to be set in a Disney style rural town painted in extremely warm colors. Likewise, the heroine ...

  • The first episode is almost too cute.......
The first episode is almost too cute....... Then . . . you hang on for the next and get a pleasant surprise . . . unless you are one of the types of people being, for lack of better terms, or nicer, being made fun of...
I haven't figured out if this is comedic "poke" at management systems or a wholesale indictment of hierarchical organization... So far there's a faithful representative of every ...
