People do need to realize that this isn't actually a test of strength (not physical at least). It is more of a test of resolve and of whether or not one participant can come up with a way to make the other surrender.

@sickVisionz This exam isn't just simply about fighting, its testing the resolve of each contestant. That's the essence of being a hunter in the series and throughout it and overcoming obstacles unconventionally is like a motif.

this is my fav episode so far cause.....its so dame funny during ninja vs gon fight....i was so laughing of their argument....seriously two thumbs to those people who wrote the dialogue and the voice actors

@Siral23 Nah, they get disqualified for killing. It's a lot kinder than the Chunin Exams in naruto. Anyways, mediocre episode. I was hoping this would be the first long and awesome fight in the series but it ended in a wimper.

So it's confirmed that there's almost no consequences for killing someone at all during the Exam? It's so weird how this comes of as a kid's show but it really is a very dark anime.

They left out a lot of parts so far. Parts that are slow but very emotional and I cried when I watched it when I was younger during those parts...ugh it's not the same watching this version....I don't think it'll ever be the same.
