  • One of the best girl groups
I first heard Kalafina while watching the Kara no Kyoukai movies, and I was instantly hooked. They have this very unique sound about them and they bring more to the table than the average girl group. Their music has been the driving force behind my decision to watch both Madoka Magica and Black Butler, and I wish I had gotten the chance to see them live at AM2 this past summer. As long as Kalafina ...

    Kalafina Review by Goten_ssj3
I started to listen to their songs when I was watching the anime seriers So-Ra-No-Wo-To when they were singing Hikari no Senritsu as the opening song. Since then, I liked their songs very much and is listening to them alot. While listening to their songs it gets me to feel relaxed everytime because of the calm music which is good and useful.

A band in a world apart from others!
I first heard about Kalafina while I watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I had listened to the many different FictionJunction projects before & thoroughly enjoyed them, but when I first heard 'Magia', I was completely blown away by the way they all harmonized with each other's voices so perfectly, managing to hit the right notes in the right places & I officially fell in love with Kalafina & ...

  • Totally in LOVE with Kalafina!!
I had so much fun and enjoyment meeting them for the first time in person while in AX! There was something about them when seeing them in person during the panel and autographs that made me smile and feel at ease even when I felt nervous. I absolutely love their personalities and their amazing singing voices which is beyond words to describe when hearing them LIVE! There's so many emotions that ...

Excellent band that bring new light into the music scene.
I didn't know who they were until the released Magia and then I realized that they did Hikari no Senritsu for Sora no Wotto. Their style I can safely say, has not even remotely done before in the last 5 or so years maybe more. They are a refreshing group who bring more traditional singing into the mainstream which is great. Their style is varied and unique and never disappoints on quality. ...

  • Something somewhat unique.
I discovered the band via Magia, from the Madoka OST. I gave a bunch of their music a listen, and watched a couple live concerts, and i'm officially hooked. Theres just something about an all female band capable of hitting the nice low notes, as well as all teh melodic higs, and really everything in between. There's definitely a mystical haunting vibe to most of their songs, a great reprieve from ...

  • Excellent band, and a perfect group
Just found out this band existed and now I always listen to them! It's too bad I can't see them live, it would be an amazing opportunity to. I listen to many songs like this, but they usually get boring to me after a while. But Kalafina never ceases to disappoint me!!!

  • Operatic music with amazing harmony
Kalafina was formed by Yuki Kaijura as a way to breathe into life the music she made for Kara no Kyoukai. Starting out with Wakana and Keiko (from Fictionjunction), she later held auditions and eventually Hikaru came into the mix.

Wakana provides a operatic Soprano, very expressive and spot-on in expressing the melancholic as well as tragic atmosphere that Kara no Kyoukai needed.

    Keiko, ...
