Hidden gem. Now one of my favorites.
Excellent anime with quality animation. There is a lot of interesting plot line that kept me interested and the serious moments were sprinkled with just enough humor to lighten the mood without going over board. We get a lot of backstory with Aki and which made me a huge fan of him. The only thing I'm disappointed in that it ended major cliffhanger. The last episode hints at a continuation, but ...

    Kamisama Dolls Finale Review
[This was originally a blog post found on my blog MoeMonster, but has been moved to Konseptual.com.]

I’ve just danced my last samba to the opening of Kamisama Dolls. As the saying goes, all mediocre things must come to an end–or at the very least, “To be next story.” Like other finales, some thoughts on the final episode before thoughts relating to the series.

    Hi ...

    An upcoming heavy Anime! Addicting!
Storyline : Horror, Romance, Sci-Fi, Supernatural.

Ok, so it has a history... A guy named 'Kyouhei Kuga' was once a Noble Shrine Doll User.
Now disowned due to past reasons. He has left the Shrine & moved to Japan for a new life.
He is in love with his friend 'Hibino Shiba' which she doesn't know yet, due to his feelings
    not wide open enough.

    Kyouhei's sister ...

I do not remember why I watched this in the first place
Main protagonist with a mysterious past, check. Cute little sister with a brother fetish, check. Buxom love interest lacking the powers of other characters, check. White haired friend of our main protagonist turned enemy, check. New character with unexplained ties to our heroes, check. Cute mascot to sell toys, check. Character with unrequited love for main protagonist, check. As you can see it's ...

    Mediocre, but interesting plot
Supernatural/scifi shonen. Starts off quite well, the story had me hooked by the second episode. Almost dropped it halfway, but managed to watch it through. As other reviewers have pointed out, this manga derived series was cancelled after the first season. The season finale ending is disappointing, and merely serves to set the stage for the next season which was never made. Characters are not ...

    Great season, but unfinished story.
This is a great first season,
but unfortunately it was not continued.
Please watch it, it is good,
but be aware that there will be loose threads when it finishes.
You will have to continue the adventure in your imagination.

  • Bowling Pin as a Kami
The real star of "Kamisama Dolls" is the Imoto, Utao. She is by far the most likable character. The brother/male lead is typical "wuss with traumatic hidden past". The female lead, Hibino, is not the typical anime type. She's not weak or stupid in love with the male. She actually is well written, and voiced. The enemies, Yoshiro and Co. are not as much enemy as rival. The psycho killer is a great ...

  • I loved it, I only wish there was more.
I found this series using the random feature, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed it. The show itself is not the greatest thing you will ever watch, I can understand why others might not like it. Something about it sucked me in. I liked the characters Aki & Koushirou. I'm bummed out that there wasn't another season. The ending is very rushed, there should have been an OVA or ...
