This is an anime I'm really glad I found, the animation and the story are beautifully done and it's one which grabs you and draws you in always wanting more, its unique but also feels like it could be a long running series. When its done I'm sure I'm gonna be sad to see it go.

Deffinately would recommend this to anyone, not just fans of mecha and fantasy. I'm a slice-of-life fan such as Clannad and the school type ones myself, yet I still love it!

This is a really good anime im fairly sure if i like it you'd hav too, becauz i dont hav a huge intrest in many of em but ones like this are great.. I hate how they only make them like 12-13 eps long, dont put an ending till you know its not gonna get any more hits, give people time to get into it befor you cut it at 13 eps grrr thats all lol

i want this to keep goin atleast another season

I can't say much since there has only been two episodes released to date. However, in those episodes, im already immersed in the plot. Characters seem deep, mysterious, lovable, and all the above. Animation is superb. Music is excellent (although im not too fond of the opening theme song). Storyline hasnt yet been fully revealed, but it has me completely hooked and wanting more. This is already turning out to be an excellent anime and it will probably end up in my top favorites if it continues the way it is now because its pretty sick give it a watch im 100% positive you'll like it

The following article as a First Look at Kamisama Dolls from my website UltimateOtaku.com

Genres: Action, Drama, Supernatural,

Summary

A guy named 'Kyouhei Kuga' was once a Noble Shrine Doll User, or "Seki".
Now disowned due to past reasons. He has left the Shrine & moved to Japan for a new life.
He is in love with his friend 'Hibino Shiba' which she doesn't know yet, due to his feelings
not wide enough open.

Kyouhei's sister 'Utao Kuga' is in need of help of capturing a Blood-Maniac 'Aki Kuga',
a close past friend of Kyouhei. As she is lacking training for her Doll as she still hasn't gotten the hang of it; so she asks Kyouhei for training/help/advice.

First Look

Well I want to start out by saying that the first 20 seconds before the Op was a huge improvement over the entirety of the last show i reviewed YuruYuri, but it would really have to be terrible to be worse than that. Before we continue I would like to inform those who don't know that Kamisama means god. I know this from TWGOK because of Elsie's nickname for Kemia Kami-Nii-sama, but that's a different review. Anyway the plot of the anime is genuinely interesting and I do want to know more about what the "Shrine" is and I want to learn more about the back story of the "god Dolls".

The character models are a bit out dated, but other than that nothing to complain about animation wise. As for characters themselves the wimpy and boring protagonist is there, the love interest is there, and I really don't care about them. So far only the younger sister Utao, and her god Doll really interest me as characters. Also I generally don't feel bad about giving away spoilers of a first episode, so I want to tell you that at one point in the episode the main character comes "close" to dying. And this got me thinking, how awesome would it be if an anime had the testicular fortitude to actually kill the main character in the first episode, or maybe even half way through when your kind of attached to the main character in a way. Not when the series is over and they don't have to worry about whether it will make people mad because it's the last episode. Unless you know, they miraculously revive the character for the second season due to the power of plot contrivance. I'm looking at you Black Butler.

Op/Ed

I really did like Kamisama Dolls' Op, mostly because it's catchy, had a Spanish theme to it and I really haven't seen that done before. I am also a fan of the Op's animation, the whole thing kind of reminds me of stained glass.

As for the Ed it was kind of boring and I didn't like the song that much, but ( and I do not know if this trend will continue on into later episodes ) it was cool how they put a recap of the episode and then a few small snip-its from the next episode.

Final: ★★★★☆

Kamisama Dolls looks to be a very promising anime this summer, with some blood, violence, and a semi-decent plot. If you're in the neighborhood for something like that I recommend you check it out.

Ok, so it has a history... A guy named 'Kyouhei Kuga' was once a Noble Shrine Doll User.

He is in love with his friend 'Hibino Shiba' which she doesn't know yet, due to his feelings

A past close friend of Kyouhei. As she is lacking training for her Doll as she still hasn't gotten the hang of it;

Music: Unexpected but you'll get used to it! Quite loud I mmust say, vocals are intimidating
but it vibes in after 10-20 seconds in the opening :')

Characters: Very well lined out!
Utao Kuga is KAWAAIIII <3 I would hug her forever! :3

Animation: Clear but Gory at times.
The gory bits are abit fuzzy so, it wouldn't be as much of a horror. Well not that scary.

Overall: Well worth watching! Got me hooked already XD
Story will unveil itself in the upcoming episodes.
