Kids on a Slope - Review
    My Feelings:
This anime is a fresh and realistic view of a group of teenagers struggling with their identities and their feelings for each other. I am particularly pleased about how realistic the emotions are, and how complicated they are in their development. You clearly see how one character slowly falls in love with another, and the end result of that journey.

    Not without it’s conflicts, ...

    Hope this becomes a Classic.
It's been a while since I watched a slice-of-life genre that was worth watching all the way through. This show is about timeless friendship between a small group jazz enthusiasts.

The authors/writers got everything right. Characters, setting, plot are all very well executed. And the animation isn't half bad. But this is the best bromance I've seen that couldn't easily be turned into vaguely ...

Great retrospect, beautiful bromance/friendship, and jazz!
I was motivated to watch this after I saw a tumblr post with a Sakamichi no Apollon gif. It was Kaoru writing music notes onto staff paper. Being the band geek I am, I found the anime quickly and started watching. It's a story between three main characters and focuses on romance, friendship, jazz, and life. These teenagers aren't perfect and all have their little issues with their life, whether ...

READ the manga after watching the series!
This is my first review so bear with me. I usually just stick to a few annime shows (Bleach, Naruto, Evangelion) and dont really like to "try" new ones, mainly cause ill watch a few epsodes and not like them. The few annime shows I have actually watched through left me with a feeling of time wasted or no feeling at all. Fast foward to this show. Boy am I glad I "tried" this one out! After the ...

Everyone's teenage years ensconced in one concise anime
With Watanabe Shinichirô at the helm and Kanno Yôko on music, it is already apparent that a true gem is in the works. Indeed the masters behind 坂道のアッポロン「Sakamichi no Apollon」do not disappoint as they craft a tale about friendship, alienation, and acceptance. The latter, I believe, underlies the series central theme. Incidentally, all three of the main characters (Sentaro, Kaoru, and ...

A grasping and captivating story of the friendships that we all have experienced in some way shape or form throughout our lives.
This series touches one's soul in a way that anime series rarely do. Heartwrenching at times, and heartwarming at other times, this series portrays what we all have gone through, are going through, or will go through.

Personally, this series brings me back to my teenage years. It brings back all those fleeting memories of chasing after that one girl, of the desperation in finding myself, and ...

    so impossibly hooked!
the music! the character development! the euphoria!!!!
i will CRY when this is over.

like "Genshiken," the everyday-life feel of this series is so ordinary that it's extraordinary in its delivery. i can't get over how stunningly simplistic and rich it is!

One of the finest shows ever
Ok, why do I think this show is one of the finest ever?

Its storyline. It is a very realistic story, no monsters, demons, giant robots destroying the world.

It's about friendship, dating and the troubles that come along with life. What is really wonderful is that is is exciting to watch and you always want to see the next ep. (In other words, the writers have made you care about what ...

    Anime of the Summer!
Upon my first encounter with this anime I was instantly drawn in. The ambiance and mood of the story centers solely around music, particularly the symphonic, expressive genre of jazz. With sessions produced by Yoko Kanno, a well known producer and composer known for her work in amines such as Cowboy Bebop and Darker Than Black, this coming-of-age story comes to life in this small town in ...

Glad I gave it a chance.
This is hands-down the best anime of the Spring 2012 season. I wasn't all that eager to watch it at first glance and the first episode was so-so for me, but by the second episode I was hooked and I haven't been disappointed since.

Although I enjoy much of the silly shounen stuff, it's wonderful shows like this with good characters and good storytelling (not to mention an excellent jazz ...
