    Accurate and great animation!
As an instrumentalist, I have to say this is one of the first where all the animations for the instruments are accurate! The fluidity of the animation and the quality behind all of the sound and characters is terrific. Love this series!

    such attention to detail
I really enjoy this anime, I was blow away with the attention to detail they go through to animate the musicians. Even take the time to video record live performances and then animate based on real performances just shows how much attention to detail they are striving for. I love the story line as well.

    Favorite Music Anime
This anime is by far one of my favorites. Although I was really not really appealed by it at first, after watching the first episode I was hooked. However I was a bit disappointed that their was no saxophone player in the group. Come on now whats's a Jazz band without a saxophone. Aside from that though I definitely recommend others to watch this.

    My New Favorite Anime
I was very skeptical about watching this series when I first saw it a few weeks ago on CR. I thought it was interesting, especially after seeing the trailers, but put it in the back of my mind. I finally started watching it a few nights ago because the title still stuck to me, and I loved it and am still loving it.

The story follows a transfer student (Kaoru) who unwillingly befriends a "rough ...

At first, meh. At second, Oh my!
I could bore you with the characters, with the plot and the context there of, but "Kids on the Slope" shines where many anime have fallen before and that is substance. More have action, more have character development, others have excitement in it's one episode, but this show has once again (a term i have used before) more soul than all of them. Even the first fifteen minutes i was wondering the ...

  • amazing coming of age story
I was skeptical at first because I am not usually into historical stuff but this story is so amazing. It's set in the 60s and there is a political/historical undercurrent but it is not the focus of the story. This is a tear-jerking, heartwarming and griping anime/manga about friendship and young love. I have binge watched it and the last episode left me wanting more, even though I am content with ...

  • Kind of nostalgy never gets old
This show is story of High-school kids in 1966. It is even one year before I was born (yeah, I'm already an old man :-) but still, everything in the show feels so fresh and so familiar. Kids are always kids no matter what year it was - they are young, they are stupid, they are careless and they are so serious - for music, for love, and for their life. This show reminds me when I was a high-school ...

  • A real gem of a show
This is a show that knows exactly what it's trying to do. It has a clear setting and everything from the character designs to the art to the fantastic music are grounded in that - which allows for the wonderful characters and surprisingly compelling drama to shine through. The final episode had a few elements that I kind of wish weren't included but even so this is definitely a show I would ...

  • Simply Amazing, Really.
Going in and coming out of this anime, I got what I wanted. From the art style of characters to character depth. Watching what made them who they are as it all unfolds in front of you will sit in the back of my mind and to the mention of it's title will bring back every second for me to live again. Even if you aren't into Slice of Life or Jazz, give it a chance, something good may come of it.
