    A Refreshingly Sweet Anime
Kids on the Slope kept me very entertained through the length of the 12 episodes. The soundtrack is also filled with really enjoyable jazz. The characters are very lovable and I was attached to them by the third episode. These sweet characters have surprising growth for such a short anime. Watch it, you won't likely regret it.

  • Definitely my favorite anime!
It's really hard for me to really love an anime but Kids on the Slope is just perfection.

The characters are "realistic" and gets good development. I don't think there was a single character I didn't like in this anime. They were all interesting in their own ways. Brother Jun was my favorite to be honest. You really get attached to them throughout the series which is why it makes it my ...

  • WOW. this one blew my mind.
Very simplistic story telling. Just about some high school kids in a small secluded town going through life and playing jazz music. Sounds boring I know but truly a well written anime. This has to be one of the best ones I've watched recently if only because it didn't succumb to the stereotypical character designs and story twists we see a lot in slice of life animes. As someone mentioned in one ...

Amazing show with so many feels!
I will be honest, I didn't go into this anime with high expectations but I came out of it thinking it was one of the best anime's I have seen in a long time.

Kids on the Slope puts together music, romance, drama and school life all at once and this combination was just amazing. The major musical focus is Jazz and I'll admit I am not really a Jazz fan but still this anime amazed me and the music ...

    Perfection at its Best.
I myself have seen several different Anime's but none of them seem to stand out as good as Kids on the Slope did. Kids on the Slope was definitely a new take on Anime for me. Most of the Anime's I have seen usually have typical characters such as the Busty/Clumsy girl in it. But with "Kids on the Slope." they always had a fresh new twist incorporated within it. The setting in this Anime was ...

A Fantastic Coming of Age Series and a Must Watch!
As a fan of Watanabe's previous works, such as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, I'm almost ashamed to say that I was not aware that this series even existed (or the manga)! It wasn't until my girlfriend and I saw Shinichirō Watanabe at a panel at Otakon last month in which he spoke briefly about it that we heard of Kids on the Slope for the first time.

Talk about timing! I just set up an ...

  • Jazzy Slice of Life!
Yoko Kanno's involvement with the music of this series is what reeled me in. The characters and their developing relationships make you want to stay to the very end.

If only my life could have a jazzy Yoko Kanno soundtrack.

Easily one of the best anime on crunchyroll!!
I usually don't give reviews for the anime I watch, but after watching this I felt I had to write something. This anime is something that I will remember for many many years. I don't really want to give away anything about this story because it's really original and believable! If you are wanting to watch something that will make you smile and relax this is the anime for you.

If Cowboy Bebop is a masterpiece, what do we call this?
Where can I even begin to describe this show? Well, this is Shinichiro Watanabe's most recent work. In my opinion, it is his best. Why? The show lets Watanabe do what he loves the most: let the characters be the stars of the show. Most of his work (Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus, etc.) revolves more around the characters interacting before that is interrupted by the plot. Kids on the Slope has those ...

  • The ending made me cry, but they were tears of joy!
I've watched a lot of anime, and only one other (Planetes) has evoked this emotional reaction from me. To think I could get this attached to characters in just 12 episodes! Extremely well written, great music, superb animation, even the background art is stunning. I would highly recommend Kids on the Slope to anyone, whether they're a fan of anime or not. Easily in my top three of all time. Time ...
