Koihime Musou was an interesting anime series. Every female character was unique and attractive. Each episode had a special character and each one of those characters were great, but sadly they don't remain in the series fully. Maybe for one episode and that's it. Like me I got attached to one character and I was mad to know she was in only one episode. But you follow the main heroines as they hunt bandits and meet interesting female warriors. The men in this series are villagers, bandits, or a ruler. You don't see many main guys. That makes this series great for guys because there are so many women. If you want an anime with lots of girls, watch Koihime Musou.

Enjoyable anime series with all of cute female warriors. The story's plot wasn't woven together to form an interesting story but still enjoyable. I wish they had more archer action and Koumei's strategy fight scenes. I love Rin Rin's hair pin personality which matches with her own emotions. Could used more fan services if the plot isn't progressing.

The story starts out simple enough. The story is pretty good it's mostly about meeting other people and experiences then takes a weird turn.... It's pretty funny and has it's moments. I think more character development could be used and some of the scenes can get a bit awkward but that's not always bad. Story is a bit silly, the idea is it goes off of The Romance of Three Kingdoms. I would say watch it if you have time.

Okay, I have to admit RIGHT NOW, I LOVE this Anime!

I manage to find this anime via Google when searching up characters from Higurashi no naku Koro ni. When I searched up Satoko though, I found a picture of Koumei (Shuri), and I looked at the page to see "What the- I didn't knew Satoko was in another Anime!" and sure enough, I saw an explanation of the Anime's first episode. I then took a look, and I thought "Well this seems interesting... atleast it isn't dubbed by 4TRASH" so, I went to YouTube and saw it... after the first episode... I clicked the 2nd, and watched until 7AM in the morning. I mean, I LOVED this Anime ALOT!

Storyline - 4.5/5.

I didn't really get the storyline at first, but the Bandit storyline seemed surprisingly different than Dynasty Warriors (Yes, I played the game, but just only #3 XD)... So, when I saw Kan'u... I thought "The hell? Isn't that supposed to be Guan Yu?" I checked back at the site, and it said the main chars all get replaced by females, so I thought to my self, "hmmm... A Yuri Anime! Cool!" Although I'm 15, I watched all of it anyways without getting caught! OOH NAUGHT ME! Anyways, I thought the storyline was almost good! Just, it got me lost at times.

Music - 3.5/5.

I thought the music was average... I didn't really like the music that much, only because I can't hear it. Some of the dialogues just talk over it, and it kind of made me angry there, then again, the voices are more important than the music. Nothing really much to say here.

Characters - 4.5/5

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PARTS OF THE ANIME! THE CHARACTERS! I just LOVE Sousou, okay? She's just one of my favourites due to her not only being a crazy lesbian, but she has that kick ass scythe weapon! The other characters though were just plain win! Kan'u and her odd fettish for attracting other girls with her black hair. Rin Rin and her cute hair pin (I want one. But they cost over 9000 US Dollars!) Sei with her butterfly maskness x3. Koumei and her shyness (My second favourite character tied with Juniku =D) and all those others! The only character I didn't really respected much, was the main villain with the Terracotta Soldiers, Utiku. I wish Utikiu was the main MAIN villain who won't be defeated for several more seasons, like in Yu-Gi-Oh! with Yami Bakura. Overall, I thought he could of been a better Villain, but the characters get the almost-perfect star!

Animation - 5/5

The Animation was probably beautiful, deadly and sexy! I loved how the characters looked, and how the fought (shame there was no cuts of Sousou and her epic Scythe. Wow, I mentioned her 2 times already in this review? O_O) How the swords, the swings and the beautiful artwork. I think the Animatiors and art team did a wonderful job on this! I mean, I stuck through it all, and I seen it all!

Overall, I give this anime 6/5 if I had to. Though the Music should of been more epic, I think that this anime is a must watch, despite the Yuriness. :D

One last thing:

If you hate this anime at all, I will add special pills to Sousou and make her more chaotic and more evil and twisted, even more twisted than Cao Cao, then send her to your house with her Scythe, saying. "You're time is up, <insert name here> *evil laugh*" and-

Yeah, that is all.

It's hard for a man like myself. The temptation of this series is overwhelming. In fact, I never even heard of this show before, but when I researched it, I realize that this an adult-oriented storyline. If you think of adult to the things that you look on the Internet nowadays, it's actually pretty tame, but it's hard to notice the sensuality that goes into the series. While my feelings towards ecchi anime has been...etchy...I can accept any kind of anime that has a good storyline and some great characters. However, this show does not change my mind about the fact that ecchi is another form of fan service and they hammer that fact so much, they can build a community of houses.

The story goes is that there's a beautiful, black-haired warrior that's on a mission to destroy each and every bandit and pirate known to man. The reason being is that her family were killed by a gang of bandits and what she wants is revenge. Along the way, she comes across similar women with problems, both big (and I do mean BIG) and small (and I do mean SMALL), that she recruits them along the way to help her crusade. I wouldn't have mind this story if not for it's adherence to fan service. At least 60 percent of this show is fan service, with women touching each other, giant chests bouncing so joyfully, and nudity blocked, in a hilarious fashion, by the environment. The show doesn't really seem to take itself seriously for the most part, seeing how it has a lot of comedy involved in it. I thought this show would've been akin to Batman, seeing how the warrior's parents were killed in the same fashion as Batman's parents, but I just stopped watching the show for its blunt fan service and its comedic overtones.

The music isn't too bad, but the title theme is a tad annoying for me, like it was programmed for a game...wait a minute. Anyway, its just pop music from here to there in its action sequences, stuff that I don't care at the slightest.

Its characters are okay, somewhat. The little kid just scares me for the fact that she hasn't reached "puberty" yet, but the shows developers are determined to put her in clothes that would scare away any parents with kids. The warrior in white clothes is pretty amusing for her serious tones, but loves to tease other women in a lesianic fashion. As I said, I haven't reached to any other characters, so I'll just say they're good too.

The animation is good. As you would guess, though, there are panty shots in some scenes that I really despise. The women's physical appearances are astonishing that you would begin to wonder "Are those real? Don't they have serious back pains?". It's amazing for them to do any kind of physical work with extra set of "weights". Yet, I do like the character designs and setting that I'll let it pass.

I'm sure you're asking, "Why do you bother watching these kinds of anime if you're not a fan of that genre?" That's actually a good question. For some reason, I would hope that there is some ecchi series that actually doesn't put their women in such a fashion that I become offended. Yes, for that point, I am offended. I respect women, I have women that are friends, I have a girlfriend, and I respect all of them and that these kind of anime to put women as such characters is insulting. However, I can't deny the fact that there are some humorous, or at least, charming moments in the series, but after a few episodes and the other anime with same settings and characters, this just falls into the crowd, only with bigger breasts.

If you likes The Three Kingdoms , a novel , you are encouraged to watch this anime .
This anime consists of 12 episodes and it's a little ecchi . But you'll like it easily .
There's no boys in this anime . Which a little upsets me .
I once thought that in The Three Kingdoms all the main characters are males . So in this anime , all the characters are females .
But there's a female in The Three Kingdoms : Diao Chan (貂蝉) . So I just couldn't understands why there isn't any boys in Koihime Musou .
You are strongly encourage to watch Koihime Musou . Really .

Although I don't think this is some masterpiece, or something that I would recommend to everyone, if you're bored and want an anime that won't drag, this is for you. And you have to be open to sexual references here and there. Nothing too extreme tho. Many say that this mainly for guys but I'm a girl, and I'm definitely not a yuri fan or an anime fan in any way. I was just looking for something to pass time and this rolled up. Overall, Koihime Musou kept me watching episode after episode, and even though I won't be listing it as one of my favorites, and I probably won't remember it after a while, it didn't disappoint me and gave me something fun to watch between my busy hours.

Storyline
Pretty much a bunch of cute girls going around fighting bad guys and establishing relationships as they travel. Not too much substance, so it's a good watch if you're looking for pure entertainment and relaxation. As much as those anime masterpieces are amazing, they can take a toll on you mentally. This one takes no brains. Just pure fun. And each episode is separate from one another, so if you have free time one day, you can just start another episode or two.

Characters
Love them! Cute, pretty, admirable, fun, and everything charming. As a girl, I don't think all the exposing clothes are necessary, but I can see how that can be attractive to others. Each character is pretty well developed and some of the extreme characters can be pretty entertaining too.

Animation
I liked it, but again, nothing too artistic or anything, if that's what you're looking for. Bold colors and good contrast, kinda reminds me of otaku animes. But that's cute too. No stupid still shots (I guess they don't really do that much anymore, I hated those!). Good action scenes.
