  • Uncomplicated romantic comedy
This is a really solid product. A short, sweet and simple romantic comedy! Characters are interesting but not ground-breaking, but there are laughs to be had and gorgeous animation to ooh & ahh over - and a nice sprinkle of the occult. What's not to like?

  • A Very Unique Twist to Romantic Comedy
Kotoura-san is legendary in my books for being the ultimate cerebus rollercoaster. A single episode will contain at least 5 sudden changes of mood, with the time in between the shifts in mood ranging from anywhere between 5 seconds and 10 minutes. And the worst part about such dramatic and erratic shifts in mood? It's totally unpredictable. Even the most genre-savvy of viewers will have serious ...

Going into this I was looking for some adorable little slice of life/romcom anime that would surely have me laughing. Boy was I surprised when the first 10 minutes are some of the most depressing I've seen in any anime so far. But I was starting to really get into it, I thought to myself; ...

  • Good Laughs Mostly:)
I won't spoil the plot for anybody, but I do guarantee that this anime will make you laugh and might make some of you cry. It's very lighthearted for the most part and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, there was one section I felt wasn't needed, but I'll let you figure that one out. (It's just my opinion)

  • All aboard the feels-train!
Ahhh what to even say about this anime that hasn't been said before! It's not something I would generally pick, especially with the art-style of the animation. I stray away usually from chibi-style characters, but this anime was the perfect mix of sad and funny - and complete weirdness at times and the animation style fit perfectly. The story completely wraps itself up in 12 episodes leaving no ...

  • Made me almost cry . . . almost.
I love an anime where the hero/heroin suffers. It can go only two ways; she copes with her personal problems and moves on OR she falls in a crevice of despair and shut everyone out. This anime will tug your heart strings, tears may fall, and your gonna laugh too. I give 4 out of five because the short dude is totally out of proportion to the other characters and it annoys me.

  • All kinds of adorable
Seriously, if you're looking for a romcom that is funny, adorable, cute, but occasionally serious, this is definitely a good choice. The relationships developed in this show are very unique. The tension in the show is nice as well. My favorite character is the grandpa =)

  • Never written any type of review before, but
I just finished watching the show in one night, and to be honest, I was in desperate search of a new romantic comedy anime to watch, and I figured that I'd give this show a chance. To be honest, I get pretty emotional when watching anime, and I can promise you that this anime definitely does pluck some heart strings, but will make up for it with lots of laughs and smiles. One of my biggest fears ...

  • Season two? more like clanned's after story.
Okay so if you know what clanned is, then you should know that there was an after story. Or season two. I believed that kotoura-san ended perfectly. The romantic issues were all resolved and the mother and daughter are happy again. We saw what really happened within reality instead of the mind of the mother. If you ask me, they should not make a second season. Because the ending was emotional and ...
