Amazing and interesting! Good story line, for people who likes romance with comedy.
Haruka Kotoura, a girl who was born with the ability to read minds, has often been shunned and alone due to her ability causing trouble for others. After transferring to a new high school, she meets Yoshihisa Manabe, a dim-witted boy who resolves to stay by her side. Together, they join their school's ESP Research Club.

Sad, Funny, heart warming all in one package
This anime's first episode was shockingly sad in the beginning .. heart breaking actually .. but has a surprising twist... talk about night and day..
it makes you cry..makes your heart fall to pieces..... then from the middle till the end .. makes you laugh and feel warm and fuzzy inside...
    I definately will watch this...

Just have to wait and see what they turn this into, looks promising for the first ep.
For now, it looks pretty promising, although the start was sad, but I think that's good for the entire story's sake. Will just have to see how it goes. I really hope they don't ruin this anime, oh well, I guess we just have to wait and see.

    AWWWWWW, Sad then Cute!!!
To be honest, the beginning was really depressing, but the 2nd half made up for it all!! Take 23 minutes of your time and watch the first episode! IT'S WORTH IT! =D I can't wait to watch the rest of it! A very encouraging start!!

    Just what I needed!!
All I can say is... LOVE IT! This show is everything I love. Slice of life, espers, idiot best friend, and just everything. It has a touching story line without getting too 'in your face.' I have only watched one episode and I'm literally craving for MOAR. Waiting every Thursday for this is going to be a killer.. but I will wait. Crunchyroll, you made a good call getting this anime.

    after watching episode 1
this sad story in the beginning is going to be a great setup for the rest of the season.
typical boy meets girl or vise versa but with a twist. i cant wait for the rest of the season. i just hope there are more twists when the season progresses. something to do with why her grandpa is not there, or her mother or father coming back into it

    Completely fools you at first!
Man...when I was watching the first 10 minutes of this anime, I went from "Oh wow she's cool" to "Oh dang that's messed up" to "OMG NOOOOOOOOO!" And then started to feel really depressed and angry at the world.... Until a silly, carefree man shows up in her life.

As I have said in my title, the show misleads you into thinking the anime is sad as hell, but it completely does a 180 on you and ...

    Just read the review.
The first half of the episode got me planting my hand on my chest, as it was so sad, I even started tearing up a bit. Being teased by classmates over and over again for hearing what they're thinking, and now knowing you're not supposed to say it out loud. Eventually the secrets of their parents were no longer secrets and she knew their parents were lying and told the truth. She was abandoned and ...

    Pleasantly Surprised. And Disappointed.
The opening for this Anime was fairly standard. I thought it was going to entail a privileged girl growing up with her parents.

Of course, it all takes a dark turn and her life turns out to be awful. However, I feel like this was a bit too overdone throughout the episode, It could of been a lot shorter and more concise, and I felt the whole "Cat scene" was almost...Laughable?

    The characters ...

    First Impressions (Episodes 1 + 2)
Kotoura-san as of Ep. 2 is a strange and interesting creature. On one hand it's an emotional drama and on the other it's a gag comedy. Both of these aspects help to create a very "unique" atmosphere while overall not exactly being unique on it's own. Kotoura-San is the epitome of the phrase "greater than the sum of it's parts" as it doesn't really introduce anything new to the genre, but still ...
