  • Short and Simple Review
Honestly, I've never been a huge fan of sports. Kuroko's Basketball hyped me up so much because I wanted them to win so bad but I also wanted the other characters to also win. It was just a huge mix of emotions and was very entertaining to watch. It's also one of the first sports anime I've watched and it's made me want to watch other sports anime that have come out or are going to come out.
    I ...

  • One of my favorites!
Kuroko no Basuke is a fun show and really hypes you up and will get you into team sports. It's fun characters and comic relief is amazing and just trust me when I say that you have to watch it to understand how amazing it is!!! I've probably rewatched this show at least 3 times and find myself laughing while enjoying its serious parts all the time!! It's incredibly fun to find out the strategies ...

    After The First 13EP
So I'm dropping this anime after the first 13 episodes for really one reason, and one reason alone. That reason is the whole basketball side of it. The anime has a good design, good voice acting, a seemingly good story, and likable characters, but when the characters are actually playing the game of basketball, it is poorly executed.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get over the whole ...

  • A great anime to watch
Going into this, basketball was my favorite sport if I had to play one, but even then I didn't play it very often. I found out that that didn't really matter at all. They do a great job explaining basketball and letting you get to know all the rules. I can see why extreme basketball players may not like this- because all of the power-ups, but those power-ups personally made me enjoy the show more. ...

  • I'm in sports anime hell and I love it
I picked up this show a few months after finishing the third season of Haikyuu! I gave this show and the fans so much crap for many years. I thought to myself, "how can anime about sports be any good?" Well, I was dead wrong. Haikyuu really put me on board the sports anime path and Kuroko tipped it over the edge for me. The characters and story are a lot of fun. Also, be prepared to laugh, a lot. ...

  • Generic, predictable and cheesy with very little character development
The anime was a bit too cheesy to take seriously. It was hard to say whether this was an anime about talented basketball players or talented, magical basketball players. Unless there is magic involved then: you cannot see "The Zone", you cannot evaluate people's fitness by just looking at them, you do not have an "Emperor Eye" or "Eagle Eye", there is no "Zone beyond The Zone". They're good ...

  • Basketball has found its savior
I think that KBA has some of the best chunks of writing in anime. Personally, even as I became more and more engrossed in the show, I still wasn't a fan of the art. It just looks corny. Yet, as stringy high-schoolers engage in epic contests of unrivaled basketball skill and athleticism there is this palpable energy oozing out; the art never detracts from the powerful moments and dialogue. The ...

  • Keeps you up at night
This is anime is fantastic and a must watch for all anime sports fans. With a captivating plot and amazing characters this is perhaps one of the top sports anime. The matches are intense and no one is safe until the buzzer hits zero. The character development is realistic and trust is one of the key components to this anime.

  • Different approach to basketball anime from Slam Dunk
KB feels much more modern than SD, infused with many elements that are catering to today's tastes. The character setting of Kuroko is a great example -- there is a "kakkou-ii" past but also stories of growth; there is shonen's friendship, passion, and never-give-up spirit, but there is also calm rationality and laid-back low-key-ness.
The basketball techniques portrayed are definitely not ...

  • Amazing and Satisfying
I started and finished this anime in only one week. The entire time I was on the edge of my seat seeking more. I loved the series the entire time. The only thing that could have been better in my opinion, would have been to have a second series, or a add on to it that shows what happens after high school for the "Generation of Miracles" and the others on the Sierin team. Altogether ...
