This is a must watch for any hokuto no ken fan or newbie
first let me say, im glad CR put this up on here. this anime tells the story (if you guys dont know) of Roah (the eldest brother of the four hokuto brothers in hokuto no ken aka fist of the north star). It shows pretty much Roah's rise to power and the people around him. If you know the hokuto story but haven't seen this anime yet I do encourage you or anyone to give this anime a look, you won't ...

side behind the main antagonist of "Fist of the North star"
Roah is the main antagonist in the original anime back in 80's, which is available on crunchyroll and this is a sad story. Roah believes that he's the savior and kills many of him comrades including his best friend at the end. In a sense Roah wants to reunite the world, but chose to use brute violence and fear to do so. Kenshiro on the other hand uses peace and justice to unite the land. Although ...

    Sides stories and characters
If you've watched any of the Fist of the North Star, you'll note there are a lot of characters introduced through the series. Many with short appearances.

This series flips things around where the minor characters are the main cast and the original main characters are back-story to this series. Of course several new characters are introduced and also history is given to some of the minor ...

  • An Excellent Tie In Series...
Legends of the Dark King is a nice tie in series to the original Fist of the North Star. It explains many of the character's motivations and how they interacted and became who they are.

The series itself is well animated and keeps up with its gore filled predecessor. IT answers many questions you may have had while at the same time not making you look for answers i.e. creating plot holes. ...

this is a good addition to the north star anim
Seeing from roah perceptive is really cool and storyline has kenshiro in mind. The fight scenes are insane and drawn perfectly to match the characters. The end fight kept it pretty intense. Love to see a second season if they will make one

  • Amazing, but read the manga.
This series had me at the edge of my seat, and I love the violence. Too bad it's only thirteen episodes. I would loved to see Thouzar broken. The style of the show is interesting, and the amount of plot is amazing to fit for such a short series. I sure didn't see it coming from many characters. What caught my eye the most is the depiction of violence: bodies sliced up is something I don't see very ...

    Its shames the legend
This anime was a letdown. They made it seem like the main character was gonna make a appearance and he never shows up. It had me going for a second because I grew up on Fist of the North Star series and it was extremely nostalgic. I hate when the writers leave you hanging like that and we will probably never see the continuation of this. Raoh was over the top and I really couldn't get with ...

    80's Epic meets the 21st Century's in a wonky spin-off
Legends of the Dark King is a confusing title, so lets explain it.
LotDK follows the adventures of Divine Fist of the North Star user Roah, eldest brother, and most commonly known as the mighty "Ken-oh Sama" or King of the Fist as the subtitles give us.

First, the good - Animation here is wonderful, with character Designs matching the original Manga/Anime. Unlike the first adaptation, Ken-oh ...
