Not A Place to Start, but A Great Anime
Lucky Star is a comedy anime best suited to be watched after you have a good grounding in Japanese cultural references. The pacing is quick and the jokes are simple, but the humour is often really subtle and best if you understand the reference or language feeding the joke.

If you like the humour style of Lucky Star, which you'll only know by watching the first episode or two, by ...

  • An Entertaining and Charming Show
This is a good anime. I wouldn't say its the best by any means mainly because I felt like it didn't hook me to the point where I was really eager to watch the next episode. This was the second Slice of Life show I had watched. I was sad when it ended but not nearly as much as other shows I have seen. It brings a really unique kind of comedy giving each character really notable personalities. I do ...

    Wonderfully fun show
This show is great fun. Mostly just silly and goofy, but every once in a while just the right emotional moment, when you least expect it. I was laughing most of the time, but couldn't help tearing up once or twice, as well. Not tears of sadness, though, just just warmth and tenderness.

The more anime you've watched, the more references and jokes you'll get, but this one still stands on ...

good show to watch when tired or bored
don't take time researching this show. Just jump in and hope you can get out without the theme song stuck in your head.

and by the way, Lucky Star's theme song is so addicting that you will think about it 24/7

    An Anime everyone will love
I first watched Lucky Star five years ago and have re-watched more times than I can even count since. I was hooked from the get go, and this series never disappoints. The art is well done and the character development thorough. You know you are watching an amazing anime when you can relate to one, if not all of the characters in some way. With just the right balance of comedy and slice of life, ...

    For your inner otaku...
I was told that Lucky Star is the anime to watch as the discerning otaku. This was pretty early on in my search for anime, so to get myself up to speed, I began watching different shows left and right, and it turns out, this indeed is THE SHOW to watch as the discerning otaku.

That said, if you've only watched about 4 or 5 animes in your lifetime, it's probably safe to say that there's a good ...
