One of the better storys I've seen in a while.
Taking the classic story of Hero vs Demon King and flipping it on its head, in a good-great way. The characters are great from the OP Hero to the cute little maid. Story was wonderful, I just wish there was more. And do not forget the humor lots of humor to make you smile. ^^

  • Can I just say the word 'more'
I'm a sucker for a romance and adding high ideals mixed with practical politics and economics just makes it better.
If there is a place it doesn't shine, it is in the fact that it's too short.
Even given that, the storyline was left in such a way that it can be continued with ease and allows for more in depth character development... it's almost like I watching a PV of an awesome ...

Great for the older crowd of anime lovers
This show was everything spice and wolf was trying to be. Had to watch it twice it was so good. If you like a magical view of history with a great love story this is the show to watch. Everything about this show was great.

    Another Linebarrels of Iron.
This was disappointing, especially after reading the manga. They forced a much more awkward atmosphere onto the scene, where as in the original, the characters were usually smarter, thoughtful, or serious.

Blurring the line between anime and historical drama
Anyone who has ever played a hero adventure game comes into this with some expectation that they know what they will find. But those things that we expect to find familiar and comforting are out on the peripheries. If you're old enough to be watching this, then you've probably learned the basics about feudal Europe, and so instead of settling into your vast knowledge of anime dynamics and game ...

  • Enjoyable anime but needs more
Maoyu Mao Yuusha is a pretty decent anime. I have not seen many anime where they do not use any real names, just honorifics. There was some originality in the anime but I felt that it was too quick. The anime had a lot of potential to become great but with only 12 episodes they couldn't expand too much. Overall I probably wouldn't watch a second time unless they came out with a second season but ...

Smart and gorgeous to look at.
Though it is not heavy with action it more than makes up for it with its brilliantly intelligent story. the characters are unique and you'll quickly fall in love with all of them. In addition to this the audio and visuals for this show are astonishing, the OP is beautiful and it is clear that the animators put their all into bringing the story to life. This show is hands down worth watching with ...

  • Amazing and different!
Love this anime, it has some romance, action and economics in it as well!! If you're like me and started watching this anime because of the Manga, then i'm sure you'll like it since it's exactly like the manga!
It's a really good anime with a really good plot! I recommend it

  • Rushed. But Amazing!
This anime has a very, very quick pacing to it. So much so that it has a constant 'rushed' feel...but at the same time it seems to fit the anime just fine. The only REAL issue I have with it (As the rushed feeling was just a very minor one) is that the ending was absolutely horrible...even if it did set up this Anime for a Second Season.

Also, ignore your first impressions of this anime! If ...

    Wickedly Addictive ;D
To start, I love how the love story goes. Instead of having to wait a dull 5 episodes for the characters to fall in love you get two who already promise themselves to each other through a contract ( > w <) Leading on with a blend of historic and modern into the story and a few laughs, suspense and love triangles and WHAM you get Maoyu!! :D

The art is just perfect!! (I liked it a lot) The ...
