While the Shinsengumi strive to maintain peace in the city of Edo, their commander Kondo is busy sulking in front of Otae, who now works at a snack bar. Depressed, Kondo calls himself a good-for-nothing. Otae gently smiles and tells him that she would love a man for his whole self, including his weaknesses. With those words, Kondo falls in love with Otae and asks her to marry him, but receives a knock-out punch instead. Undaunted, Kondo uses all sorts of means to show his affection for the immovable Otae. Finally having enough of it, Otae drags Gintoki into the situation, but things take an unexpected turn… |
