Starts off great but slowly declines
The first few episodes of this show were very enjoyable. After the first few, it seemed to decline for me. The first episode ended in a way I didn't expect which got me excited. I thought this show would be different than other romantic comedies but it ended up doing the same dancing around the issue of will they finally date or not. I did appreciate how the characters actually told each other ...

    Why such a high rating??
Okay, I'll admit it's been a while since I watched this, I just happened to come across it on CR and was shocked at the high rating.

    SPOILERS

From the first episode I was not convinced of a romance between these two whatsoever. I was immediately put off when the crazy weird guy covered the girl's mouth in an alleyway (I don't remember the situation) and said "Be quiet or I'll rape you", or ...

    Couldn't Have Been More Disappointed
I liked the beginning of this series, I really did, made me wonder why I stopped watching it months before starting it back up. Sure, it has some funny scenes, the characters are pretty good, too, but it lacks so many things.

The main character's couldn't decide on what they wanted, and that may have been the joke of the series, but... you can't really have a comedy like this. If ...

How did this end like this?
I feel like there should be a season 2. I mean the ending was just showing how everyone ended up together... It could've shown them love each other now that they understand each other better. One of the 1st romance anime that doesn't have Ecchi. Thank. God.

    Promising but went nowhere
I thought this series showed a lot of promise in the beginning but I found the relationships grew unconvincing over time, and I found the ending to be one of the most pointless I've seen in a series for a long time. If you liked the premise of the socially awkward bad boy played out a lot better I would recommend Kids on the Slope directed by the legendary Shinichirō Watanabe.

Captivating, but not complete or all that original
Really good romantic/comedy/slice of life anime. If you've ever seen/read Kare Kano (His & Her Circumstances), this is EXTREMELY similar. Really my only problem with the show is that it's so much like Kare Kano that I feel like I've already seen it, but I LOVE Kare Kano so it's mostly a compliment. (If you haven't read/seen Kare Kano, I'd suggest tracking it down. It even encounters the same ...

    This show is classic
I love this show because it's hilarious, serious, and many other emotions that is brought in this show. To me, it was totally worth it and enjoyable."In life, you'll meet two kinds of people. The one who will build you up and the ones who will tear you down. But at the end, you'll thank them both." This quote is a lot like those two main characters that are very different to each other.

    The pain is real!!!!
    This thing is so bittersweet.
It loves to make you hate it and you will love to hate it. You simply can't help but both love and hate this show.
As much as Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun made me smile, just as much was it painful to watch. It's really good at making you care about its characters completely. The emotions it tries to wake in you, it does with good narrative and pacing. A thing I feel most ...

    Disappointing and boring
This anime had the potential to be a very interesting one but half way through the push and pull of the relationship between the two central characters got a little annoying and frustrating. The most disappointing thing of all time is the ending though. Everything is left unresolved practically. Its so ambiguous, even though the anime is only 13 episodes It still felt like a monstrous waste of my ...
