  • Weird at First, but Picks Up Over Time
Okay, so I will say the first and second episode of this show is really weird at first. This whole story is on the premise of a guy who gets addicted to a girl's drool and how they are connected through it. Okay, so hearing that premise, this is already weird. It sort of grossed me out in the beginning because it's so weird.

Once I got past the drool thing, then you can see the real story come ...

  • Strange.. However beautiful
First off the anime seemed a little strange, however I couldn't withdraw my eyes from the oddness of this series.. Episode after episode the weirdness seemed more normal, as the anime grew closer to its final episodes, it also grew a place in my heart. If you give this anime a chance you will not be disappointed.

Note: This is coming from someone who has not seen or read the Manga.

    Visual ...

    Seriously, WHERE'S THE MOAR!?
I had read the Manga before knowing that an Anime adaptation was out. Boy was I excited since I INSTANTLY fell in love with the story that I couldn't put it down!
The anime keeps true to what the manga was all about; Mystery.
No added elements, no added subplots, just straight forward. Urabe is weird, Akira is weird. Their characters (and voice actors) portray equally and never cease to amaze ...

    Speaks to the Viewer
The relationship between Urabe and Tsubaki explores many of the quirks and potential pitfalls that young lovers can find themselves in. Some very minor elements of fantasy keep the story even more interesting and mystifying. I believe the message to be taken from this anime is clearly stated in the opening theme: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right? Urabe certainly challenges the ...

Light and fun; sweet and squicky ^_^
My wife and I went into this series knowing almost nothing about it. I knew the premise, but not to which the lengths with which it went. By the end of the first episode, we were both hooked, and quickly watched through to the end, cringing once or twice, but for the most part, we simply smiled and laughed with Urabe and Tsubaki.

They are wonderful leads, and more than anything, I love how ...

    Unique story but....
After the first few episodes i had high hopes for this. It appealed to my abnormal side, I suppose, and I loved the dream sequences. But, as it went on it just became repetitive with the character development going almost nowhere. It does develop some, it just felt so slow. I imagine I felt the same as Akira with the lack of progression in their relationship. I understand that it would probably ...

  • Love this Manga and its Panty Scissors attack
This Manga has a nice steady love story with a bond that cant match any other.

I have read the fan base English translation and its very good. I seen the reviews on Out Tube And many people don't see the Special bond they have. Can wait to read the next chapter

  • Okay... But Could Be Better
I loved this anime, and it does follow the manga quite well, but cuts out some parts and is only part of the so far over 80 chaptered manga! The characters followed the book, and they didn't leave anything too important out, but is a little disordered. Really wish it could have gone farther out, but was good while it lasted!

  • This show is a trip!
Swapping saliva doesn't seem like a gross thing as you do it every time you kiss someone, but for the main character to taste it off of a desk? Man I knew Japanese were freaks with used panties in vending machines and whatnot but damn open mindedness has it's limits. Mysterious Girlfriend X however keeps your attention by bringing in a tasty tasty musical score as well as a story line that will ...

"Mysterious Girlfriend X" Had An Awkward Start and End, Yet Still Fun To Watch
A bond of drool...It's something that makes you want to puke when you first see it, but by the time you start watching this anime it becomes normal and a form of bonding that simply can't be explained.

"Mysterious Girlfriend X" takes place in modern Japan, where a completely weird girl, Mikoto Urabe, transfers to Akira Tsubaki's school. When he curiously tastes the drool that was left on her ...
