  • A Great Continuation of a Great Series
Natsume Yujin-cho Shi, a great continuation of the original series. If you have not watched the original series I must strongly recommend you tag this into your queue and go seek out that series and watch it first before watching this. Unlike some sequel series that have slight changes in either animation, storytelling or even character or lack of character development this show picks up right ...

Love this so much, how can you not love!
Ugh... like omg, don't even get me started... I already loved season 1 so when season 2 came out I was overjoyed, I loved it even more! It actually got better than the previous season. This anime is so underrated that I don't understand. and again, not a single boring moment, super chill and uplifting, you need to watch both seasons, like seriously!!!

    A real coming-of-age masterpiece
Natsume Yuujinchou was not what I expected it to be, when I first began watching it. I was under the impression that it would be about the everyday adventures of a boy dealing with youkai and ayakashi, and in a very literal sense, I suppose that is what I got indeed. But I was unprepared for the depth of thought and emotion that went into this. On the surface, it is about a boy reluctantly dealing ...

  • a brilliant new season
simple brilliant but you need to watch the seasons before this. in this arc of the story the characterisation and plot are continued brilliantly. the season is slightly darker than the last one with Natsume having to deal with the threat of serious enemies from the start. while Natsume does posse considerable spiritual power this new seasons continues the journey of him getting to know himself and ...

  • So many feels.......
Highly recommended. Make sure you check out the earlier episodes. Natsume can see yokai(spirits/gods/demons from japanese folklore) and has inherited the book of friends from his grandmother who had the same gift/curse. Natsume's grandmother tricked many yokai in to giving up their names. Now Natsume wants to return their names , as well as help anyone who needs it, humans and yokai aline. great ...

  • Mesmerizing and Heart-felt
This is an absolutely beautiful series. One of my favorites, for sure! The characters (human and yokai) and the story line really tug at your heart-strings. Even the change in the seasons just draws you in and captivates you. I would definitely recommend watching this series, you won't regret it.

Natsume yuujinchou is a masterpiece for those who value the depth of the character.. :)
Natsume Yuujinchou Shi is the continuation to a wonderful series, the story is entertaining with super natural and spiritual details but what makes it so special is the fact that between action and drama you have kindness, warm feelings, friendship, mutual comprehension.. you learn to understand that the world is not simple, you have good humans and good Youkais and also have bad guys in both ...

  • A worthy to season to an exceptional series
This season of Natsume has more two-parters and commercial break cliffhangers than previous seasons, but it didn't distract too much from the quality storytelling and production values. There were also a lot more episodes from a different character focus (where most previous had been focused on Natsume) in the interests of filling in backstory -- which seems to be the modus operandi of this ...

  • One of the Classics.
The story of Natsume isn't anything ground breaking; it's an episodic show, with the occasional mini-arc, regarding the ayakashi that invade Natsume's life, demanding his attention.

However, what is special are the restrained character arcs of the main cast that move every episode. The changes from Season 1 through season 4 are great, but the progression of things is gentle and ...

Has Been One Of My Favorite Series Yet
When I first started watching Natsume Yujin-cho, I was surprised at the lack of action in a show that has "monsters" who like to attack a boy who can see them. Over time however, I began to appreciate Natsume for his methods of trying to befriend both humans and youkai. This show has been one of my favorites because it manages to teach good messages while still telling great stories. I'm sad to ...
