Darn it, Noitamina, I LOVE YOU
I have to admit, I have been falling for at least one of Noitamita shows every season for a while now (Mononoke, UN-GO, GC, Moyashimon, No. 6, Tsuritama, Kids on the Slope to name a few), and they did it again. I love Natsuyuki already.

I happened to listen to Noitamina radio that was released online after the Ep. 2 aired in Japan with Yuichi Nakamura (the voice of Hazuki) as the guest, and the ...

    Something for an older audience
It is unclear how old the main characters of Natsuyuki Rendezvous are but they are definitely not teenagers or young adults. My best guess is late twenties, early thirties and the characters are certainly exploring themes that maybe only people who have experienced a bit of life can relate to.

The story is about Rokka who, despite being very young, has given-up on love and seem to be set to ...

  • GREAT STORY! Very Sentimental
I love the story line, of how they helped the heroin's deceased husband move on to where he should be. I am moved by the story and the perseverance of the present lover inspired me as well, as he pursues his love for the heroin. This reminded me a little of the movie "Ghost" minus the present lover.

  • Very Thoughtful and Interesting
I must admit, I'm not much of a Josei fan. But this changed it for me. It tackles a very realistic romance problem, and it makes you feel for both male leads. For most of the show I couldn't decide who I thought was the villain, because of how well they show both sides. They also do a good job of showing the passage of time without any awkward time skips. If you are interested in romance, I highly ...

    This series is very good
One of my favorite series. A little drug out at times but the artwork is absolutely beautiful and the story line is something original and special. Nice to watch something not so childish for a change.

    This show keeps haunting me.
I have never hated an anime before but this season was out to irk me.

I will say from the start I only continued watching because of the beautiful ending theme. I ended up waiting until it was over to marathon it. I kept thinking there might be some plot.

With no likable characters, no progress, and no ending, there is no reason to watch.

People argue it is due to the maturity or the ...

    Great show with wonderful subplots
This series will go down as one of my all time favorites. Not your typical anime at all this is a love triangle with a fantasy twist. Wonderful story telling and animation. A+ work by everyone involved.

Why aren't there more anime of this quality?

  • Watched it a day, totally worth it
I liked the story line and characters. One of the face that I liked is that, the main character Rokko is 30 unlike most animes which the main character is a teenager. This makes the story more real. The artwork is very bright and lovely.

Beautiful art, but slow story line.
The art work was so beautiful, I enjoyed the first few episodes but the series became very boring and repetitive. I like the idea of a more serious romance but it didn't really captivate me. The ending was bittersweet though, it made me cry!

  • Don't hesitate. Watch it.
You might be the type of person who doesn't watch something because you see it's gotten a lot of negative reviews, or you've heard it wasn't very good from a friend. I have to be honest when I say this is the type of anime you'll probably hear those types of responses about, but don't listen to them. (Most of them will probably be directed at one particular character...who I happen to really like, ...
