A faithful adaptation, and a good one for fans, but...
TL;DR Version: this is a great adaptation and I like it, but if you are not familiar with this story, go read the first volume of the manga before you watch this show. The second, too, if you can.

    On to the full review.

If you are not already reading Netsuzou Trap, then you probably should go out and read it first, come back and watch the show second. What we have here, is a ...

If you have to read the manga first before watching an anime, the anime is bad at storytelling.
I'm a fan of yuri. I'm a fan of manga. I'm a fan of forbidden love. I'm not fan of this anime.

If an anime's first episode is so vague that it turned the whole story into a rape-y friend/neighbor and they have boyfriends at the same time, there might be something wrong.
You don't know anything about the characters yet and you won't be able to understand why they have boyfriends in the first ...

Faithful to the manga, but still inconsistent
while adapted from the manga and not for people with a certain moral compass, this series isn't going to be for everyone, the art style seems alright, but the animations do feel rather inconsistent. It keeps true to what the creator is trying to depict which I do appreciate, but it will still manage to make people question the series effortlessly.

the worst part is, the 10 minute time slot ...

    Worst yuri anime ever.
I wasn't expecting this to be a masterpiece since I was never a fan of NTR. But hoo boy, I didn't think it'd be THIS terrible.

Horrible pacing, generic plot, TERRIBLE characters(Expect Takeda, the brown haired boy,he's the only character who isn't a horrible person.) but especially Hotaru, the black haired girl, she's probably the worst character in this show. Forcing another girl to fall in love ...

Great to see lesbian love explored, but....
This is mostly fan service and titillation rather than anything of substance. Short episodes, not much character development, and lots of sexual situations. Like old-time yaoi (maleXmale), it's pretty flat. We've got Yuri!!! On Ice moving yaoi forward to more realistic, caring relationships. Too bad yuri (femaleXfemale) seems to be stuck in the past.

All that said, sexy is great if it's got ...

This show is a vapid mess
So a little background on me, I'm not a fan of NTR but I also don't care much for it, if it randomly shows up a show I can stay neutral and ignore it just like I ignore cringy fan service. I have positive view of yuri, because at the end, those are also romantic relationships. I also don't know anything of original material, which is fine, because any adaptation should stand up on its own ...

    Wasn't Prepared for That
For the most part, this adaptation follows what I've read of the manga but we're totally missing the internal thoughts of the main character. The show is really rapey but the manga explains her emotional turmoil. and how her lines of consent vs desire are blurred in what she wants. There's more "Am I a lesbian trying to maintain a heterosexual relationship" rather than "my creepy neighbor won't ...

Missed Potential AKA How NOT to pace your show
This is my first review so I'll keep it short and sweet (unlike this anime).

    Mild Spoilers Bellow

While there are great concepts and plot points to be found here: nature of love between two girls, violence, relationships, firendships and cheating, none of it is given enough room to be explored.

The show consists of 12 episodes at around 8 minutes each, and the story sets itself up as an ...

    Barely redeemable and confusing
The little dark one is evil and the whole thing is just her coercing her bff in to liking her, then distancing herself from her for no reason. They're happily together in the last two minutes of the entire show, but only after little dark one lets someone physically abuse her and use her for sex in an attempt to make pigtails go away, because she loves her thaaat much. Or something. I don't even ...

An onslaught of pain then a drip of 'okay'
I haven't read the manga and I don't do reviews much but I wanted to share my experience with this anime.
Netsuzou Trap is a very depressing, constantly downwards spiral of bad feelings for everyone. When it lets up its not really a good moment in the story but really just feels like a slight lapse of the constant negative pressure that builds over the length of the show, Fast.
    Like any anime, ...
