Nisemonogatari is a unique, masterpiece ride that leaves you begging for more.
Nisemonogatari follows perfectly were Bakemonogatari left off. This show has an outstanding writing, which is not matched by most of the series out there. The creativity and the way the conversations develop are just hands-down masterful, but what really stands out to me is how the psychological aspect of the series is presented to the viewers. The way the characters move, express themselves, and ...

    Another beautiful and haunting anime!
As the others reviewers mentioned before, Bakemonogatari was the first of this series, but Nisemonogatari follows with its own strange and haunting stories. What I enjoyed most was the new and extremely interesting relationships developed between the main character with his sisters (more than I expected) and the strange but equally interesting relationship with the blonde vampire Shinobu who ...

Nisemonogatari - worth watching... at first
NisiOisin has the enviable ability to take run-of-the-mill concepts and transform them into complex, beatifically expressed stories. I first came across his work when Bakemonogatari, began as an anime series two years ago. NisiOisin's literary versatility had continued to amaze me with Katanagatari, which was aired a while after that. The same can be said now, of Nisemonogatari, the sequel to ...

    Watch the other season first!
Too many people are complaining in the comments saying that they don't understand. That's because this is the second season, go and watch Bakemonogatari first. Other people are complaining about the amount of fan service in this season. I, for one, thought it was great. Especially the toothbrush scene. That scene will remain in my memory until the day I die. A definite must watch.

    Bakemonogatari. Fan Service Edition.
Bakemonogatari. Let's say you've seen the first season, but you're not quite sure whether or not you want to see the second season. Nisemonogatari, the second season to Bakemonogatari, is not an entirely different show, however, the difference is so clear, I suppose giving it a different prefix is quite enough to give it that sort of distinction.

Plot: If you were to watch the series in ...

Can you really call it fan service anymore?
For me fan service implies an occasional unnecessary panty shot or something that could be considered distracting from the story. What do you call it when the "panty shot" IS the story, and the plot is the distraction? Ain't fan service, that is certain. It's unfair to even call this series a harem. It is BEYOND harem. It is as though the writers aspired to push and push and push the boundaries ...

This show blew my mind-watched it 6X!
This series really amazed me-lots of great direction, art, and writing. There is a certain provocative uneasiness that pushes boundaries- but it's so interesting!
And it doesn't abuse the supernatural-it's just a setting. My new favorite show!

Impostory is fantastic and integral continuation of the series
I normally don't write reviews for shows, but this one has purpose. Basically, watch this. A lot of people write Nise off, citing poor pacing, "excessive fanservice" (more on that later), and other issues besides. I've even seen people just skip it entirely and move on to the Second Season. Don't do that-- if nothing else, this show introduces extremely important characters for later stories.

    I ...

The most unconventional harem in anime
I recently reviewed Bakemonogatari. Two days later, after a veritable Monogatari binge, I'm back to review Nisemonogatari.

Nisemonogatari revolves around the same characters introduced in Bakemonogatari. Indeed, at the start of the series, one of the characters says something along the lines of, "Animes get too confusing when too many new characters are introduced." It's the little bits of ...

The Monogatari Series is a MUST WATCH!
Since the first episode of the second season just aired, I decided I would write a small review to catch people's interest, because this is one of very few Anime I would rate as a Masterpiece.

To start things off I will start with the shows only flaw. But it is also its greatest asset... The massive amount of Character interactions and dialogue. Monogatari is built around ...
