One of BONES' Best ANIMATED SERIES.
Overall, "No.6" was arguably one of BONES' best works. Great fluid animation, great character development, naturally flowing music, and all those other great qualities that BONES is famous for. However, since this series served as an 11-episode adaptation for a novel that is originally nine volumes long, there just wasn't enough substance in it. In other words, there were some loopholes and ...

a MUST SEE.....It will instantly become one of your favorites.....
It is based on a non so distant future, where humans have destroyed every living place, but 6 cities, where a "utopia" is been tried to create, but thanks to our human nature, we just create a false utopia. This is a place where if you don't agree we'll just shut you down by force, or you can run away and live outside of the city away from all those rules.

It will influence all the ...

WOOT WOOT! No.6 is amazing :)
Well for starters the hype was 100% on point. Quite a few people had given me great reviews for this show so I decided to see what all the fuss was about. And man am I impressed. The story line was very unique and it kind of reminded me of Hunger Games with the different city-state/areas. The OP theme is very memorable, and the music was so good I've downloaded the opening song and added to my ...

A fast-paced and compelling short series
What a great find--a fast-paced and compelling short series that I wished had been just an episode or two longer, to wrap up all the storylines. I watched all 11 episodes over a period of three evenings, absolutely glued to the screen and staying up later than I should have on a work night.

No. 6 is set in a dystopian future where an unspecified series of wars have laid waste to most of ...

Tragedy and Humanity in No. 6
No. 6 is a visually stunning story that seamlessly encompasses multiple themes including totalitarianism, government-backed genocide and human testing, a heart-breaking love triangle, survivalist instinct versus humanitarianism, and a subtle pro-environmentalist agenda without being too preachy and overbearing.

How the creators of No. 6 man managed to pull this off is an impressive feat, in my ...

Great Series, Bones has done it again.
Bones has a habit of making odd story lines work out wonderfully and No. 6 is no disappointment. This series starts out really slow but it is worth the time. If you are a fan of old fashion works of social fiction (think Dickens, Orwell, Conrad, etc.) or just like a plot line full of subtle hints and allusions leading to a huge reveal, you will love No. 6's story line.

    The characters are ...

  • This is my Favorite Anime
This remains my favorite anime, though watched it a few years back. My favorite genre is Dystopian/Utopian futures, hence why I enjoy NO.6 so much. The ending is a bit rushed, but that just made me want to read the manga. Plus, for being rushed, the anime wraps up nicely in my opinion. Of course, NO.6 isn't perfect, but I still recommend that people watch it because the story is AMAZING.

  • strong story line, weak ending
I'll try not to give any spoilers. The story is about Utopian cities with a "big brother" theme. The authors did a solid job with character development, and the story line is clear. I was intrigued to learn more about Shion and Nezumi as the story progressed, and I was hopeful to see more about their relationship. You can only assume what their relationship means to each other by small glimpses ...

  • pretty, kind of hollow
This was by no means a bad show and I did definitely like it. It just felt a bit lacking in several ways. People's motives were fuzzy,
