Problem Children plot and story is alright, it is not the reason why you continue to watch the show. The story takes place in a different universe, with three alternate realities that take place in the show itself. I think one is after a great war, one is before and one never had the war. Problem Children plot and story is alright, it is not the reason why you continue to watch the show. The story takes place in a different universe, with three alternate realities that take place in the show itself. I think one is after a great war, one is before and one never had the war. Anyways that isn't exactly where the events of this anime take place, they take place on a planet called Little Garden. Special people get invited to the Little Garden to compete in Gift Games and join clans. Anyways Plot/story is a B I would say.
Now lets get started on a characters, that seriously make this show what it is. Without the four main characters this show would be a flop. I really like the character layout, drawings, and none of them are annoying. I'll give you a breakdown on the four main. Starting with Izayoi, the blonde hair boy that will not be seen without his headphones, what he is listening to all the time must be the root of his awesomeness. No lies Sakamaki Izayoi is one bad a** dude that just kicks butt like its his day job. Not only is he the most mysterious character because you know nothing about his past, but he also is a genius, reads books at ultra speed and can retain knowledge like nothing. He can not be beaten, I'm serious the dude is unbelievable. Izayoi also is ever so slightly pervy enough that most guys will instantly love him. He gives the show comedic relief and saves the day all day. He also really is just looking to have fun, or at least that is what he says. Next is Kudo Asuka, a girl who can command people to do whatever she wants. Eventually, while battling a super juiced tiger beast, she gets a sword and has decent swordplay. Her background is almost noble maybe? I don't fully know but the very least she is wealthy. Asuka and Izayoi have some chemistry like a brother and sister would have, as they like to argue sometimes and tease one another. Now Asuka is no pushover, eventually she gets this massive robot called Dean, which is hilarious because he says "DEEAAANNN!" before it attacks. She also gets a little cute fairy companion that is cute and when it talks it makes your heart melt a little bit. Apparently everyone loves Asuka! The next character is my personal favorite because I find her to be absolutely adorable and her back story is a little sad by the look of things is Kasukabe Yō. Now Yo has a special gift, her necklace given to her by her father while she was hospitalized for not being able to walk, that allows her to make bonds with animals and attain their abilities. She has a cute cat companion that is there to add some comedic relief as well be her personal cheerleader. Yo can also talk to animals, like her cat or her first trial in The Little Garden a Griffon, which she rides at super high speeds like a champ. Now Yo comes across shy also and I think at one point she does say she wants to make more friends, so she tries really hard at everything she does. Sadly in some of the major battles she appears to have to sit out being not as powerful as Izayoi and Asuka, but I am sure as time goes by she only grows stronger. Now onto the one character that brought the three wonderful problem children together, Black Rabbit! Next to being the end of some of the pervy jokes in the show, she is defiantly not a filler character. Even though her name would suggest that she is weak, Black Rabbit is no pushover. When angry her hair will turn from its original color of blue to pink, causing her speed and strength to increase greatly. She is also a referee of LG and her ears are connected to the LG system, meaning if someone is cheating in a gift game she will know and probably dispose of them. Her super secret weapon next to her bust and the skirt that will never give you a panty shot, which is pure art, is the Spear of Indra. The Spear of Indra is a super powered weapon that appears to give the user lighting attacks and when combined with Dean and Asuka gift makes a gigantic spear that **** **** up. The characters of this show even supporting get a A+ from me, all of them are interesting even though most of the background stories are rushed.
The villains of the show were not really uhhhh evil enough for me, and none of them really had a reason to be a villain. I found the villains just to be a bit shallow, needed more of a reason why they would do the evil acts next to just being evil. They all came across as idiots as well. The first batch of bad guys, Persus, like greek right, should have been good guys, found it to be a poor choice on the name. Villians get a C- from me.
The art of the show is grade A, even though some things can come across just a bit cheesy, I think it is mostly a shot at other anime's. Loved all action scenes, nothing was dragged out.
I also totally understand that I did mostly a character breakdown, but that is the most attractive thing about the show. The fact that all the characters are original and all have great depth to them. None of the MC's come across shallow.
I recommend this to everyone, its action packed, quick paced and has lots of comedic relief.
