  • Not what i expected in a magical girl Anime...
But not a bad thing either. Madoka Magica was at first what I thought would be something cute and adorable like but when the story started to sink in I was on that verge of 'Should i continue watching this?' because it's not the typical Anime I'm used to watching. I nearly didn't watch the ending but I put myself through it and that's when everything comes together. An emotional roller coaster of ...

  • More than meets the eye
This story starts nice and fun but turns darkly interesting as the truth is slowly revealed in layers until the real hero is revealed. My first magical girl anime, and I liked all the different aspects of it. Some of the scenes had a different art style that I didn't really like, but mostly the artwork was gorgeous.

  • The Evangelion of Magical Girls.
Wow. Just wow. From the opening song to the first two episodes, I thought this was going to be yet another cute magical girl anime. But oh my, I was wrong. Episode 3 is where it all kicks off, and after that, the anime continues to unsettle me at every twist and turn.

This is not for the weak-hearted, but it's truly one of the best anime ever.

  • Amazing anime, loved it.
This was an amazing anime, with action and love, and I cried every episode. Not even joking.

Madoka Magica is about a girl named Madoka who, for some reason, has more potential to be a magical girl than anyone has ever seen. Al though, there is one girl who doesn.t want Madoka to become a magical girl, and will do anything to keep her from becoming one.

If you ever need an anime to watch, ...

Will forever be in my Top 3 Anime
This anime goes above and beyond every other anime I've seen. It plays with your heart and mind, starting off one way and completely smacking you in the face at the end with its emotions, beauty, and story. Every character is beautifully fleshed out through the course of the series, and you develop a connection for each individual. Don't be fooled by the cover, but don't let this warning deter you ...

  • Madoka Magica is simply magical
I checked out Madoka Magica after a recommendation from a friend, and after three episodes I was hooked. This isn't just your normal bubblegum magical girl series. These are empowered young women making really difficult choices, journeying through coming of age, friendship, loss, and magic. There will be several "OMG" moments for sure.

    Friendship is suffering
I had plans to watch this with my youngest daughter. Magical girls, she loves that stuff. Cute cloths? Check. Happy faces? Check. A bunch of little girls fighting baddies and saving the world? ... ... ... ...

Wait... What? What is happening?! Why? Why did you do this? ... I'm going to wait til my daughter is older to watch this with her.

Hard plot twists sends this series into a completely ...

    Good Character Development
The art style is unusual and sometimes used to imply events happening to or emotions of the characters. This, in addition to conversations, helps develop the characters. The music style is unusual and fits the images well. This, along with the arts, also contributes to the roundness of the characters.

The last turnarounds are a little surprising. However, the rationale behind the characters' ...
