    An unintended farce?
I think this is going to be fun, but maybe not for the reasons the creators intended. For as much as it plays itself serious, it's hard to take seriously.

If you want to save yourself 30 minutes, here's a quick rundown of the first episode.

A Lord with a sword, you'll never be bored.
It seems to be your standard mage and knight affair, and it pretty much is. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. This is just the first episode, but for what it was it worked together well. The characters are a little on the generic side, but they carry the story without any hiccups. The animation and voice acting are top notch. You could tell that they put a lot of effort into this, and it ...

    TL;DR - The Anime - TL;DR'd
Around episode 4 or 5 (funny how they pick right after the 3-episode rule for a show to reveal its true colors...it's like the anime industry pays attention or something) this show moves from an acceptable, yet slightly dull, fantasy anime into the literal incarnation of a cliff notes version of an abridged series of an actual anime. I mean, it's like night and day, like the first 3 episodes were ...

    Not sure what happened?
The anime starts off in one direction and makes you think it's going to be a particular type of anime, and then if does a 180 and turns into more of your classic action knights drama, and the previously "BA" main female lead because not "BA" at all. Not sure what to think of this anime anymore. I really liked it at first, but the last episode I watched was kind of rough to get through.

    First Episode Impressions
The Art: Pretty average for a fantasy/action anime. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely not bad.
The Soundtrack: Nothing special. No surprise there.
The Character Development: Could be better. From the first episode, there isn't a lot of development, so by the end of the episode, you won't really care for the characters. However, this is first ...

    No Training Wheels Here
If you don't need flags to help you follow a plot, or slow drawn out conflicts over the course of 15 episodes you will be fine with this show. This shows primary fault to most reviewers is that it moves too fast or has very little build-up. In that regard to me it is more real, it's less of a entertainment story and more of a historical story. There's no heroes that can truly clear all obstacles ...

    Solid but cliched anime
This is the very definition of an anime that throws everything against the wall to see what sticks. It is part action, drama, romance, fantasy all in one. That isn't to say it is a bad thing but it really seems to have taken every anime trope known to humanity and tossed it all in. You have mages, knights, conflicted leaders, vampires, warewolves, mystical forests, people with super human powers, ...

One of the best of winter season
This is consistently one of my most anticipated animes to watch every week. I love the story and the characters. All the main's are presented as three dimensional characters with their own motives and personalities. The story is engaging because it presents excellent character moments and plenty of political intrigue. I whole heartedly recommend this to anyone who enjoys solid stories.

This show is the Dark Horse of the season
I originally dropped this show after 3 episodes but upon picking it up again towards the latter part of the show it really picks up, granted I haven't read any source material for this or anything but it is now a contender for my top of the season fighting with Overlord and Laid back camp! Definitely check this out and give it a second chance, it deserves it!

    Way better than I expected
When this show started I thought it was going to be focusing on Theo the entire time, but I was pleasantly surprised. As the show went on, they introduced the audience to an interesting cast of characters. I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out with the crests, the "dark elements" and original prince and princess that were supposed to be married but due to tragedy (and maybe fate?) are ...
